I’d like to compare some day how these incremental changes impact the driving of the car… I run a 2015 OG RC8B3 on my track and the thing still holds up against other cars!

Why did they go to a +1 steering arm when the B4 had +2 steering arms wouldn’t the +2 numb the steering more
@yonicozac
@yonicozac 5 месяцев назад
Interesting they switched the spur/pinion rotation, as all the other manufactures doing the opposite for this purpose, so suck the car down during accelaration, interesting that AE now changes to do the opposite but to get the same effect.. As i understand the reason it sucks the car down is as the motor is spinning its core one way, the motor can is pushed to the opposite direction, as so as it mounted on the side of the car and not the center, rotating the can (and the motor mount) is actually pushing the car down

Yeah its a cool concept and it makes sense.

Have a question. Sorry it’s about something else but I know you have some factory connections. The new 4.1 comes with LTC & HTC gears. I see some set ups using all htc gears. Can you give me some insight on running all HTC gears vs LTC,htc,LTC.

Are the front lower arms the soft material green dot on the rc8b4.1e? The reason I ask is because I think there is a wrong part number listed in the rc8b4.1e manual for the front lower arms.
@SuperFastRc
@SuperFastRc 3 месяца назад
Yes sir, green dot all around
@samuelandolina6338
@samuelandolina6338 3 месяца назад
@SuperFastRc the part number in the manual is 81528 which is wrong. On Amain the soft arms are 81636. Just checking to get some spares. How durable is the rawspeed body? Is it the regular weight or lightweight? Thanks

Good morning Chris, are you running +5 gop rear shock standoffs?

The low traction ones? Then yes

Looking at this it sure has a lot of parts that look similar to Arrma BLX cars.
@SuperFastRc
@SuperFastRc 5 месяцев назад
Similar they are both pillow ball front ends. But the AE will generally be better suited to a track then the arrma will and vise versa with bashing.

I’m coming from Tekno and wanting a chassis change so the new 4.1e was my choice. I have a question about how the steering servo wire runs. I watched your 4.0 video and it Judy’s comes out of servo and makes right hand 180 back under receiver box. Is this how you kept it? I didn’t know if it was supposed to go under the other plastic piece by the steering post.
@SuperFastRc
@SuperFastRc 5 месяцев назад
Yes it is designed to route underneath. Just make sure the wire isn’t getting pinched. 👍
@jameskincaid8036
@jameskincaid8036 5 месяцев назад
@@SuperFastRc so the wire comes out of servo and goes under the keeper in front by steering post then under the tray through the other keeper? I’m just trying to see how it’s supposed to go or actually the best way. I watched your original 4.0e build and you were talking about it and it looked like you didn’t use it. Sorry to bother just trying to see best way
@SuperFastRc
@SuperFastRc 5 месяцев назад
@@jameskincaid8036 So the keeper in the middle by the driveshaft i think is for the sensor wire or something. Not the servo. The one for the servo is under the rx box. You loop the wire under the box and through the guide and into the rx box. 👍

@@SuperFastRc okay. Thanks for clarifying that. No matter how I tried to run it using the front clip it just didn’t look right. I know you’re probably running the Florida race today but when you get time will you give me a list of the front and rear springs you run the most along with sway bars. Run on probably a lot of same types of tracks in West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina.

RWB really needed in 4wd? It probably would not make a difference to the majority of skill levels that race.

New chassis setup made a night and day difference in traction on mine also.
@TranceFur
@TranceFur 4 месяца назад
RWB is probably more beneficial to less skilled drivers than it is to pro drivers. Oversteer catches slower drivers off guard all the time, while pros can generally adapt to handling difficulties. That being said, an easier to drive car is never a bad thing, if it runs the same or better lap times. No need to resist progress just because what we have works “well enough.”
