This is why you are the best! Thank you for always being honest and not a shill like many. You are so genuine and creative and this video was just another example. While I am on the Thrilljoy train, I agree with everything you said. Bring in the mystery minis! Collecting is the Way!
What they could’ve done instead of having the big hole on the back is just add 2 magnets inside of the feet so that it could also be detachable from the base.
I pretty much agree with you on every point made in this video!! The Mini Pix! should be made into blind boxes - I would buy a TON of those if they do it. The Mega Pix look the best of the current products available and they aren't even fully available yet. The standard Pix are a thing I may own a few here or there if it's a really important property to me, like One Piece, but that's about as far as I would go with a product like that. I prefer free standing figures as opposed to diorama. On a pure aesthetic level when looking at the vinyl itself I actually DO like the them and that's a total win for me! If they made essentially the exact same product make the box about half the size and only have the vinyl figure & collectible card in a magnetic box and sell them for say $25 I think I would have bought a ton because I like the art design and style, love the magnetic box & collectible card but the giant black frame and case and embossed background just add's a layer that takes away my interest. Now that this is truly Brian's thing hopefully he really runs this ship and makes stuff people go CRAZY over! Hope to see them at SDCC next year!!
I agree with you Jerry! I feel like a standalone figure at that size would get compared to Pops, and they probably want to avoid that, but I am sure Brian is cooking up something cool in the future. I think a 4-6” figure with the magnetic accessories would be super fun too!
I do really like thrilljoy, I like the care and quality and I am excited to see what all they do in the future, very excited about some of the new releases and original characters coming soon! They are on the bigger side but it’ll be fun tryijg different ways to display them!
I think a glow in the dark PIX would be awesome! They could even make parts of the frame glow too 👀 Also a flocked figure would be a great idea, plus it wouldn’t get dirty since it’s closed inside the case!
Now understand why they’re so expensive, but I wish that Throwjoy can make some that some people can afford a smaller picture frame like one for office desk wouldn’t that be cool having miniature ones stacking on top of each other I can see myself spending at least 30 bucks on something like that now just imagine that Sidekick Ink.
I think they take up too much space. I love that they have backgrounds and a nicer way to display them. I don't like the figures being glued to the base or the glob that sticks out the back of the figures heads to keep them in place. I love how detailed the figures are, which we would not have gotten to see had you not taken them out of the packaging. I like the nice card with protector as well. The magnetic box is cool, but it too is another problem. If you want to stack your figures outside of the cool box, you have to make room for all these expensive boxes too. You would need a room for your figures and a room for all their boxes. So, you have awesome figures with backgrounds that no parent will purchase for their child because it is too expensive. Are these for established collectors who never touch what they collect? I agree that they can't be sold just anywhere because of thieves. I can see things destroyed on a shelf with only the figure they wanted missing. People steal anything I swear. I used to work retail and it is sad. I hope I don't come off sounding like a negative Nancy. I am just a realist. What do you think of what I have brought up in regards to the new Thrilljoy figures? How do you see it?
These are all great points! I think the target audience for these collectibles is definitely adults, and these are more like nerdy decorative display pieces rather than toys. I agree, they’re not for everyone! Thank you so much for watching, and I appreciate your thought out response 😁
Look, I really like how they look and the idea of them, I also like making the rarity a 1 in 24 for a chase BUT $50 for that rarity is insane. That’s $1,200. I mean obviously you are going to know before hand but still.
That’s fair, however I know there are several other popular collectibles that are priced within $10 of these, but do not have nearly the same quality or options available. Still a valid opinion that $50 is a steep price point for many collectors. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Will only think about buying from them if they get licenses from anime series like Tensei Slime or simply never anime series instead of just the Big ones like One Piece, Demon Slayer, Bleach etc
