I think Great Wolf Lodge exclusives need to be talked about. There’s so many fakes of them on the market rn that it upsets me. It’s really hard to find something like an authentic Iris nowadays. Like u said, u bought a fake Iris? Here’s how to tell if they’re fake or not: -There are known fakes of Jade, Iris, Sierra, and River. I don’t think there’s known fakes for the other ones. -I believe that they never made fakes in the medium size, only in the normal size. -For Jade, the fakes are quite easy to tell. Fake Jades are a completely different color! They’re more of a dark teal than a mint green. AUTHENTIC JADES SHOULD ALWAYS BE MINT GREEN. -With Sierra, it’s a little more difficult. I’ve noticed that GWL fakes have a certain look to them but idk if anybody else sees that so I will leave this one blank for now. -With River, it depends. There are two authentic versions of River. There’s the older version, which has black eyelashes and looks like a wolf. Then there’s the newer version, which has pink eyelashes and looks like a husky. I believe they only made fakes of the older version, and most River fakes don’t even have the eyelashes for some reason?? Idk if there’s River fakes that exist that do have the eyelashes. -With Iris, this one is the most difficult. I can typically tell by the face but Iris has no eyelashes so it’s also kind of hard for me to tell. I’ll also leave this one blank. Here’s how you can tell if a GWL beanie boo is a fake or not, regardless of what GWL beanie boo they are: -Check the hang tag if they have one. It should ALWAYS say “Created exclusively for Great Wolf Lodge.” The fakes on the other hand, ALWAYS say “Created exclusively for Great Wold Lodge.” As you can see, there’s a typo in the fake tag. Always look for the typo. If it has that typo, it’s fake. -If it has no hang tag, check the tush tag. A fake GWL beanie boo’s tush tag should look faded and almost smeared. Some fake GWL tush tags also are randomly cut off, so you can’t fully see the name on the tush tag. That should NEVER happen with authentic ones. -There are more differences between authentic and fake GWL beanie boos, so I recommend watching MBOOS’s video on fake GWL beanie boos. They do a really good job explaining it.
LITERALLY the GWL bbs basically all have fake versions and it’s so hard to tell the difference (especially since im from australia so ive never even seen a real one so i had no idea what to compare it to) but yes i totally agree with the channel MBOOS they are really great with videos of comparing fakes and is actually the reason i realised mine was fake 😭😭 thank you so much for taking the time to write this aswell im sure many will find it helpful 🫶🫶
awe i love that so much!! i lowkey wanna have a few fakes bc the designs are so good but i can never find the listings to buy them that aren’t over a hundred dollars 😭
