Ariana doesn’t pronounce her words as a stylistic choice. people tend to think she “struggles” to enunciate but Ariana is broadway trained and started her career on broadway. When she sings broadway she fully enunciates and stops singing in her “pop sound”

Rheya Ruiz it’s just her style. something that she choose to do to fit in with the pop industry. especially since she was a trained broadway. like you have to fit in with broadway by having good diction while for pop you fit in with less diction

You definitely need to expose yourself to more of her lives, to get a better understanding of her capabilities. This doesn't even come close to one of the best examples of her live performances. She's got much more famous ones than this all over RU-vid.

What I love about you guys is that if you dont like an artist on the first try, you guys give them another shot and try different songs. What I like about Ariana is that when she hits those high notes, it's so effortless. I would say to keep looking into more of her catalog. I dont like all her stuff but she is good.

Just to get a backstory on her.. this woman has been through so much.There was a a bombing at her concert which resulted in 23 deaths including the terrorist and 800 injuries, it was known as the Manchester Arena bombing and her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller passed away 2 years ago. She’s definitely been working on herself and her work so I would recommend listening to her recent music such as social house and also an old song from her that is timeless ‘Almost is never enough’

If y’all want emotion you guys should specifically react to the sweetener world tour performances of her song “breathin”. She’s very into the song and goes off in the climax. I also recommend her live performance of Jason’s Song ( Gave it away ) is so jazzy, groovy, attitude and badass vocals

What Ariana did was a high falsetto on the note Eb6. She was half a note of from whistle. She actually can do whistle notes. If you want to check them out I recommend her cover of "Emotions" which is actually a Mariah Carey song. She hit every single one of them so good. Either that or "Imagine" which is her song and she did it live on the Jimmy Fallon show. She also did whistle notes that never fail. If you guys want to hear the power in her voice i DEFINITELY recommend "Focus" live at the AMA's in 2015. You'll her the difference in her voice back then because the performance that you reacted to was in 2018. If you could react to just one of these, you'd make my day. Thanks so much!

That wasn't her best performance and some vocal coaches say the whistle notes were prerecorded, probably because she didn't think she could make them live since she was sick.

I love these videos because I would have never of heard the “metal” in this song but from the guitar to when she starts belting it at the end with the classical sound of the choir in the background. Helps me appreciate the music in a new way.

No she hasn’t. Even she’s never said that she has. If you’re a fan of hers you know it’s a stylistic choice. As someone who’s broadway trained, she’s knows how to enunciate. She just chooses not to, when singing pop/rnb. Get it together people. We should know this by now. At least do the research.

The "wavy" vocals are called runs guys 😁 She is a really good vocal impressionist can sound and sing like anyone, adds interesting dimension to her vocal choices. I prefer the live version of this song from MTV Awards (i think). I didn't notice that guitar tho. Hmm🤔 it IS the same.

Those weren’t whistle notes but she can do whistle notes. You should react to “Ariana grande sing getting out by Jason robert brown” (I’m pretty sure that’s the title) it doesn’t have whistle notes but she’s much louder. If there are no issues reacting to the video (idk anything about copyright).

She wasn’t afraid to use her voice. Different songs are going to bring different tones. Versatile artists are always going to be belting notes especially when the song doesn’t need it. Tone and power aren’t the same.

Ariana is so petite but her voice is strong as hell. She likes to be breathy and tender but she can really belt and go really really high. Also yes, she doesn't enunciate. She is better at it though hahah

Very touching tribute to Aretha Franklin - And a lil backstory, Ariana was a guest on Tonight Show / (late night TV is actually filmed 3-7 PM, then edited, and run as pre recorded later that night) just before taping began, the announcement of Aretha's passing over the news wire. As Ariana was a guest, w/ new music to promote, she scrapped that plan, and with minimal rehearsal time, w/ The Roots, she wanted to do this song instead. She ordered a black outfit, and crushed this tribute. Ariana was a huge HUGE fan of Aretha, and I thought her tame quiet version of this was so respectful. She didn't show off runs,, and belts,, and a whole 'look at me' attitude. The only way to listen Ari is LIVE. She can sing so many different styles of music. She is amazing at doing impersonations as well. Look up her performances on The Tonight Show or SNL to see her impersonations. Her early songs that were "Pop" in nature she had bad enunciation because they were pop songs. Yes she the best singer of a decade and beyond it seems.

I believe Ari is one of the best current pop stars because she has the perfect balance of studio/live vocals. Many of the best vocalists from prior years have a hard time getting a radio hit because they don't know how to hold back and let the song breathe. You guys should react to the video for God Is A Woman and God Is A Woman at The VMA's🔥! You guys should also react to her So Into You video.
