I turned off the mirror flip in my camera setting a long time ago. That way when I take a selfie the photo is automatically flipped to how people actually see me. I got used to it and I don't find it weird or ugly anyone. Highly recommend it.
Reminder for anyone seeing this : don't worry! People see you how you see yourself in the mirror, and how you're used to seeing yourself. Notice how when you look at a selfie of someone and when you look at them in real life, they look the same? And if you're thinking, why do i look so weird or ugly with the back camera or inverted? Its just because you're not used to seeing yourself like that. Another example is that when you use your phone to take a picture of the moon , it always comes out looking weird but in real life it looks so beautiful. Think of that when you see yourself inverted in a picture. Everything looks better when you see it in real life , not throughout a screen. And a camera can't capture anyones full beauty. I promise you look the same way you see yourself in the mirror. Remember, you're very pretty and don't you ever doubt yourself 💕

Yeah it’s like when I see my cat she looks completely different then when I see my cat when holding her up in front of a mirror She still looks so cute but it just doesn’t look like her

Ive had a this cabinet mirror in my bathroom my whole life, i just angle it so the mirror will reflect on itself so i can see myself inverted(or as my real reflection) , and after looking at it so much, ive definitely gotten more used to it and i do sort of like it!
girl you are drop dead GORGEOUS. everyone you’re allowed to be “ugly”. nobody is perfect. EVERYONE has ugly days. there are so many people that are conveniently unattractive and go to the beach in bikinis. and who cares? we are allowed to exist and be respected and treated as humans no matter what we look like. what matters is what you are on the inside. for me as a fat person what helped me gain more confidence is telling myself how there’s people with my body shape out there and how beautiful they are in something more revealing and there are people bigger than me who are absolutely beautiful. nobody (especially normal people that aren’t famous) looks like a runway model at every single angle and at every single second.

A few months ago, at the beginning of the summer, I was feeling pretty confident, finally happy in my own skin, I stopped caring sm about my looks and was living my best summer life. UNTIL I bought that damn mirror and it HUMBLED me, I found out that one side of my face is slightly larger than the other side, and so um I decided to cut bangs to make my face look less asymmetrical, and I went to a professional salon and everything, and yet the bang still looked terrible... I threw away that mirror after that.
what comforts me about the inverted picture thing is that i've read that our brains are just used to the reflection in the mirror. take a friends picture and invert it (i do it in my gallery --> crop, invert), and see that, where they see a huuge difference, you most probably don't
Thats true... if you invert an image, a nose lets say that bends 5mm to the left in the mirror would appear to bend 5mm to the right which would be 10mm from its perceived position... so it would look quite awkward to the person... but anyone else looking at you wouldn't notice much of a difference cuz it isnt very significant

People need to understand that the world does actually see you as you see yourself and that’s what they’re actually used to. It’s the same you, you look the same, just “opposite” but not really opposite. Your eyes are seeing the same you, just swapped the other way. You literally look the same, just not what your eyes are used to.
Growing up I used to hate my reflection. I think that's because of the prevalent beauty standards. I also had very low self esteem. But more than anything, I did not have a good relationship with myself. Remember that you are the person you can be the closest to and are going to spend this life with. You were born with you and will die with you. Your own self has gone through so much with you. Only your own self really knows you because she has felt all that you have felt. So build a good relationship with yourself. Be your own friend. Be kind to yourself. When you feel beautiful, you become beautiful ♥️
When you look in a mirror it’s not you your looking at but your emotions and horrific memories and thoughts of the past.Remember to always remind yourself that if you want to succeed in life you have to push through all the evil forces and focus on the good even though it’s tough there will always be someone there to guide you through the rough patches of life
the thing is, we get used to see the mirrored version of us and find it weird to see the real version. But for people around us, they are used to see the real version, and our mirrored self would look weird to them😂😂
Well mirrors are inverted, you make them inverted. Like put a clear thing with some letters infront of a mirror and you can see it’s not inverted, but put a backing behind the clear thing and it suddenly becomes inverted
"I've never met her" 😂 Yeah we're very thrown off when we expect 1 thing and then it comes out differently. Like a song that's perfectly pitched can sound off key if someone desided to rearrange it a bit and change some notes. Doesn't make it off key though. ;P

I have never even heard of this until now and I don't believe it. Because when I'm with my sister we LOVE to look at ourselves in the mirror and she looks pretty the way she looks in the mirror. There are some slight differences but it's pretty much how she looks like.
I can't even stand my reflection on the standard mirror let alone looking at myself in the "true mirror". Let would be the last thing that put me on edge.

I don’t know why people freak out about this. If you’ve seen yourself in pics, that is you’re true self and how everyone sees you. Of course no filters but should go without saying. I guess it’s bc it’s happening in real time and it’s unusual to what you expect.
The way you see yourself no matter the mirror is never what other people see anyway. Live your life and you know you're gorgeous just wanting an ego boost.
