It's very gratifying to see my favorite cover band recording for two consecutive weeks songs from the 50s/60s that marked several generations and that have such a good vibe that they could make everyone dance, from an elderly veteran to some curious young person who has liked the song. So excellent voice cast, instrument distribution and this time the stage is one of my favorites, it looks like an enchanted forest straight out of a fairy tale or some Disney classic, something unthinkable for where I live! Happy Sunday to the entire Shut Up & Kiss Me team! ❤

Although Chubby Checker originally released this in September 1960, it was the January 1962 re-release that featured at my first year high school fete. It was used in a twist competition which I won at the ripe old age of 12.🕺🕺

Twist was the first dance I learned when I was a child. Giulia and Alexandra, you did an awesome job: Perfect harmonies and much energy. Maria on the double bass is a perfect background and Andrei and Robert are also perfectionist on the guitars.

I was around 14 when this song was hot....the twist took the whole youth of America by storm....it was a great time to be a teen.....I enjoy every song from you guys..... keep it up!!!

Oohhhhh .... ça fait remonter de très vieux souvenirs . Ces demoiselles sont toutes en couleurs , Maria 💘 toujours aussi lumineuse , Giulia toujours aussi remuante et Alexandra toujours aussi sage . Le rock’n roll pur et dur , l’authentique, est mort l’année où Elvis Presley a fait son service militaire en Allemagne. Et c’était pas hier. Ce rock’ n roll là, c’était beaucoup plus qu’une musique , c’était une rébellion !

Great work, and I remember when this first came out, but I can't hear a twist song nowadays without the dance scene from Pulp Fiction coming to mind, with John Travolta and Uma Thurman slowly gyrating to the memories of Tarantino, and the sound of "You never can tell" echoing through the airwaves once again.

I saw Chubby Checker in the 70s at the Peppermint Tiger, since torn down, was next to a Woolco store (now Kohl's). Your rendition is great!
