I bless the day you began singing as a duo, you can’t be topped as a duo, some might be as good but never better then you boys , rest in peace, but know we miss you,and your music will never be forgotten.❤❤❤
I was 7 when 'Wake Up Little Susie' was released in 1957. My older sister used to wake me up on Saturday mornings playing that record. The Everly Brothers have always been a part of my life, a wonderful part.
Indeed Brenda, you are so lucky. Let It Be, so sweet of a melody, so easy and pleasing to the ear then and more so now. Enjoying the beautiful harmonizing from Orange Park, Florida, USA.
This song has a special meaning for me . My mother had alzheimers and she could not even tell me my name when it got bad. One day I was playing this song and I could see her singing this to herself. What a great song.!!!
Researchers have found that when music is played to people w alzheimers it triggers their memory and for the moment while they hear it they are actually remembering
@@ma.victoriavargas4268 ill have to check coco out. Never heard of it. My mom had alzheimers and when she couldnt speak, move on her own and was pretty much gone she could still tap her toes to the rhythm of music
Born in 1958, we grew up in the best era of America, and like you said, never to return. It makes me sad to think where this Country is going, I'm only wishing that History repeat itself for the good things.
Yeah, music did have a soul back then! I was a kid when all the greats came out! Lived in Ky., no TV, had a radio and my Uncle worked in a bar in Cincinnati, when Juke box records got changed, he gave all the old one to me! Have loved music all my life!
No one could MATCH Don and Phil Everly. AND to date, to my knowledge, still is matchless. These gentlemen were a gifted duo and their Music and style is phenomenal. 🧡 them 💯%.
God BLess YOU BOTH ! Many more Happy years together ! It is so rare to find true Love. I Hope I finally found mine after 39 years looking ! Really I'm not that old ! still very young looking too and so is he
my mother, of blessed memory, loved your songs, lyrics, harmonies! she was a holocaust survivor who suffered terribly mentally...your music brought much comfort and healing to her and me as her little daughter! THANK YOU
@@sandramartin6486 Dear Sandra...How absolutely right you are! 👏👌😇 There is ABSOLUTELY no way that you nor I could understand ANYONE who could possibly turn thumbs down on the Everly Brothers, especially since we have lost one of them. (RIP) ✝️🙏🙏💖💖🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤
Bobby Hatfield had probably one of the most pure voices with a range that was unbelievable. My late husband took me to a Righteous Brothers concert in Lake Delton at the Crystal Grand on my birthday just months before Bobby died. Bill Medley paired well with Bobby with his deep, very sensual voice. As Baby Boomers we had the best music of any generation.
I was in with my sister she had cancer and then got coronavirus and it was to much for her heart to fight she past away last November she’s is my Darden angel now I love her so much and miss her r I p my previous sister
I love how they always look each other in the eye for the first few notes -- it's like they're doing a mind meld to bring those heavenly voices into perfect harmony.
As I grow older, and I know life is shorter, I still love these guys! Their harmony was so good and made us feel good to sing these songs! They were such a part of my growing up!
You are right, life is shorter, we just have to enjoy the rest of our time here on earth with our family and friends, living a memory they we never forget. What is your favorite song?
We should be building altars to the Everly family - father and two sons! Some of the most talented songwriters and THE most talented singers of the 20th century.
A beautiful song sang by great singers the everlys who sang this song straight from the heart. And sang like they meant every word they were singing 0x0x0x0
When I was a kid this was just another sappy love song. Something happened around the time I was 40 and I realized the passion an commitment this song has. So sincere. Great tune
Me too made me cry. The brother on the left had problems. The bro on the right is saying, you can do this.. look at the fear in his eyes . God bless both of them.
I wasn’t a big fan of them when I was a kid, I thought they were kind of nerdy. I was more into the monkees lol.. (talk about nerdy). But now I can’t get enough of the iconic classical beautiful Everly Brothers.
When I was 6 years old I told my mother I wanted a radio for Christmas!! 😁 That would not have happened if I was born during this day and time!!! I grew up with the best music ever in the USA!! Which included the Everly Brothers 💖💖💖
The beauty of the vocals plus the instruments in this version, blows the pop song that made it popular away. If you are here you are a true music fan. I salute you x
Brotherly harmonizing! At it's finest! What a singing duo. Heaven is filled with vocies just like this! Praising our Savoir all the day long. R.I.P. Phil. Shawn
I was born in the 80s but my dad made me believe in such musics it was played all round the house, I miss him so much, he committed suicide at age 48 when I was 24
So true. We will not see the likes of the Everly Brothers again. They were one of a kind. Things are safe here. Just sick and tired of the confinement. ☺
They were wonderful role models, good church-going boys who used clean speech, had respect for women and their elders, and never tore up hotel rooms or where high or drunk in public, like the "stars" do now. No wonder we adored them.
@@robertkeys6688 YES, YOU'RE SO RIGHT. THE EVERLY'S ALWAYS SPOKE OF HOW MUCH THEY LOVE AUSTRAILIA. SO DID MY HUSAND...WENT THERE FOR HIS R AND R LEAVE FROM VN. RAVED ABOUT THE GREAT PEOPLE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND PLEASE STAY HEALTHY.
@@robertkeys6688, Upstate NY, try not to laugh. Our wacky governor has gone off the rails & so many have left or or leaving soon. But up here it's such beautiful country i just can't even think of leaving. so what part of Italy did your family come from? Both sides of my family came from Italy.
@@theresabollman8061 Yeah NY is a really beautiful place and I've try not to laugh but still laughing 😂😆. Well I'm from Rome Italy, Lost my parents when I was 10 and me and my twin brother was handover to my grandma who later got remarried from the State. Are you married with kids?
......I grew up listening to the Everly Brothers and have always loved their music..thank you for the lovely memories of my childhood that come back when I listen to theem!
I grew up listening to these two being played on my little RCA 45rpm record player, no bass, no treble control, just pure sweet music, while watching that maroon and silver Cadence record label go round and round...My Princeton haircut and a tube of Brylcream and I was ready to take on the world in my split manifold 50 Chevy with the loudest Glasspacs in town....Today the kids car stereo's are as loud as my exhaust pipes were!!!
My dad passed the 20 super hits from the Everly Brothers to me and though I didn't know them I fell in love with those songs and would learn them like crazy. Today I decided to check what I can find about them and I am so excited. They are legendary. Wooowww.
Two great singers, who carried me through my army days, starting with “ Cathys Clown “ Such great memories. We shall never hear music like that again. Great years for music, the 60s.. Happy happy times.
I am blessed the day i found my wife for 40 years now with 3 beautiful kids.i hope my wife will recover from all the pain she’s feeling now in her body..God bless us all🙏🏼🇺🇸🇵🇭
I've heard that some singers lose their voices when they get old, but DANG!!! These guys sound good for being as old as they are. Still perfection!! That's what the Everly Brothers are. PERFECTION!! Still my favorite duo and always be.
A beautiful duet by 2 of the best male duo's of their time and since, they will be remembered by true music lovers until eternity - matched only by the 2 ABBA girls. Thank you and RIP. N.
