Little Rock AR -late 70s the guitar player of the local band that was backing him , did something to displease him -chuck ordered him off the stage , the dude gave him the finger under the main spotlight -
I saw my king of Rock and Roll The Great Chuck Berry at the El Monte Legion Stadium in 1957 in California boy did I rocked and rolled so fun I was 13 yrs old
Piano player was awesome but I love how Chuck held that note towards the end and faded to a different cord. There's a lot of country jazz in there. Genius
This man makes the guitar cry💥💥😍👊. Him and little Richard didn't get the recognition they deserve. They where very great. Didn't know them before but I came across their video's and wooow they where wonderful and best
I saw Chuck Berry in 1978 when i was 15 years old at the Perth Entertainment Center,,a brilliant showman,,,RIP, Chuck,,you are still a legend,,,Dougie Dowerin ,Western Australia
Our public television station did a special on his life. He wrote all the words to the songs he sang. Not too many entertainers can do that. He also started entertaining at the beginning of rock and roll. He was one of a kind...so talented.
You have a lot goingI have a friend that is is interested and like a copy of yours for you as well as a copy of my resume and I will will through now that I
Epoustouflant.

He was among the greatest rockers. He loved what he did. He got his band for each gig at the local musicians union hall and he worked 15 or 20 minutes with them before going on. And you know he had the money in his pocket before he hit the stage. One of a kind.

Not only Chuck "Wild" Berry which is the father of Rock and Roll is superb but his whole band was awesome. You can see that the public got their money's worth by the first song performed.
Yup.Hot band. This was the Roxy and the music director of this band had their pick of the best hired gun's in town. You bet they rehearsed ahead of Chuck's arrival at the club.
Ken McKim They did not rehearse with Chuck (Chuck expected all the groups who backed him knew his songs and rhythm) and here it did not work out so well because the sax player stopped and Chuck furiously waved him to continue.
