WH says, " You are melodious. You are inventive. You are devilishly precise". Yeah exactly. Outside of classical music, melody seems to be scoffed at nowadays. Yet, it is melody that conveys almost all of the more humanly elevated and benign moods. It may be that some musicians are disinterested in it thinking themselves above it, (or by being obviously below it) in terms of talent. But these fellows, by revealing beauty and proportion in their work, do serious duty in fending off corrosive chaos and nihilism. Their lack of self-absorption is part of why - despite really knowing nothing about these guys personally - I find these particular artists, performing at this level of talent and accomplishment, so impressive in human terms, and why I think the term "generous" is an apt descriptor as well.
