It's funny, when I was 11 or 12 I thought this was just a badass movie.. it didn't disturb me or anything. Now at 18 I can really see how intensely unsettling this movie is, especially when putting yourself in the mind of a 1973 theatre audience member. Also, I heard Ellen Burstyn's scream at 0:28 was her yelling in actual pain; supposedly she messed up her tailbone or something in that fall.
@fraroc That is true, that scream you hear is real and her back needed an adjustment after that scene because she got flung really hard onto that wooden table. Needless to say she was really ticked off after that scene.
@Waspinators I actually heard that the scream was real, but Ellen didnt want to break character, She acually was about give the camera man the middle finger because she was in pain and they were still recording :)

Don't you realize that this is just a movie, meant for entertainment? I don't need to "go back to school". I have three more weeks before I graduate with my bachelor's degree.
@Waspinators same thing happaed to viggo in two towers when he kicked the helmet at the campsite he broke his toe or something so when he yelled he actually yelled it was not acting lol
@FordGT8806 I think that is partly what the movie creators wanted, even if they'd never admit it. (I don't know if they would or not but I have a feel they wouldn't. LOL)
There are more compassionate and reasonable gods than Jesus Christ. As reason should tell you, the True Almighty is incapable of having opinions. Within that Almighty, however, are smaller, specific gods with different areas of rule, such as Love, Knowledge, War, Discipline, et cetera. Jesus Christ is a God of Sacrifice, and that's cool to follow... as long as you're trying to be LIKE Him. He intended for people to follow His example of effort, tolerance and forgiveness, NOT blind obedience.
Then may I suggest you look into some other religions? All of them ultimately believe in the Almighty (through various metaphors), and you may find one that's just right for you. It took me 9 years of study before I settled on one, and I still keep my eyes open for refinements to my philosophies.
omg this is just wrong. im 18 years old i just watched this movie for the first time. i am in shock and i seen some fucked up shit. I know its a movie but jesus christtttt. Now i know why my mom always made such a huge deal about this movie
@ilovemoviesuk Why? Is it because in your mind everyone should be a Christian and view jesus and a cross as a holy symbol that is above everything and shouldn't be fucked with?
@Jesusisonhisway1 where was he the past 2000 years. where is he now. sorry to say he aint comming rather to say he never exsisted. there is more proof in science than the book you read. it is and remains a book. get the good parts from it and better your life. leave the rest for the suppersticious things they are. peace sjoerd
