I cannot get enough of these gangly yet majestic horse creatures. They look like someone that’s never seen a dog tried to draw one from a verbal description
They’re called Borzois, and they’re an absolutely gorgeous dog breed. Like most sighthounds, they’re not very good around children, or strangers, or other pets (they were bred to _hunt wolves_ and protect livestock from wolves in Russia). My grandmother owned a longhaired borzoi named Emma, she was absolutely beautiful. My dad would take Emma to the beach and she would gallop majestically like a horse. I miss her greatly.
Like most sighthounds, borzoi are very sensitive and are one family dogs. They are friendly, but not gregarious, toward strangers. They are adequate watchdogs, and will bark.
