actually, it's because he's a bitter man who (was) still bitter about break up of 'his' band (white zombie), and the mess it was, instead of being proud of what that made him achieve and how that band gave him to tools to do another hobby in which he found rejuvinating joy ( horror movie directing ).

The thing about his house is, sure it's big, but it's actually practical. It's just a classic tudor mansion-esque type house. People get money and they buy those 30000 sf ugly homes. He bought a simple classic home with a lot of charm. But it's clearly still an upscale home just a realistic one with just enouh extra space to make sense. If I had money I'd buy something similar. Some old house that was def a mansion back in the 30s but not excessively so.

My Dad heard me listening to Highway to Hell and asked me if i thought i was going to hell? I said no, and that song is about touring in a band. That was the end of the conversaition. The only other thing he brought up was "make sure you listen to more than just Metallica and ACDC so you have some variety." And that was it. He figured that as long as i didnt take the lryics literally, there wasnt an issue.

You do see some of the props, signs, and posters around his place that were used for the film.

Honestly a lot of shit they did on MTV they do on RU-vid. People like to complain about mtv and their lack of music video playing but they pioneered a lot of the shit we see today, and it a lot of it came from them playing things others than music videos.

Mostly B Horror and Si-Fi, Some classics like Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Thing original and the J. Carpenter remake. The old cheesy 50's 60's stuff. The shows we would watch as kids, Creature Feature, The Goul, etc. Every T.V. market had them back in the day, I'm 49 yrs old... "I remember meeting Shawn the girl who played bass...Shawn meet Shawn...LOL! I said "great minds think alike"....She replied " You guys are clever!" I had two friends with me we all polished off a case of Budweiser. My buddy really was waiting for Danzig to come out....Rob said he'll be busy for a long time. Me I could care less...Rob was awesome! I like Dazing...is he gonna give me free beer and a conversation....NO!
