I always come back and watch this in utter awe. The acting, the dancing, the production- THE VOCALS! From everyone involved. It truly immersed me in the life of Marilyn Monroe. One of my absolute favorites from Smash.

When people say Karen played Marilyn more like her real self, just direct them to this video. Ivy had the complete package - the vulnerability, the damage, the public Marilyn. And her voice can't be beat.

it’s just cause meghan hilty is too talented. also vocally she can outsing katherine mcphee any day. it’s like another tory vega thing where we have to believe that the “villain” is not as good as the main nice girl but its not true

it's the way that even when she does this live, all the choreo the same, and her vocals and energy is still the same level as this. she's FANTASTIC

honestly the whole karen ivy thing shouldn't have even happened. ivy was so much better obviously, she had more experience, and she fucking looked like marilyn monroe. i 100% understand and agree with chrisitan borles hatred for jack davenports character. jack davenports character sucked and he clearly didn't have an eye for talent. karen was NEVER the right option.
