Linda Eder is the singer. She originated Lucy (the character who sings this) in Jekyll and Hyde (the musical it's from). :D

This song sounds like it could be an inspiration for an original musical in itself, TITLED "Let's Bring On the Men." It certainly sounds like something I'd expect to hear in those musicals from M-G-M in the 1950s.

@CantStayAway it's one of the songs from Jekyll & Hyde the Musical, a lot of dance studios like to use this for numbers in their shows so that might be where you've heard it before.
