I've got to admit, when I saw all that equipment on the driveway I was a bit concerned....but as soon as I saw the labeled white gaff tape, I knew you were on another level !!

I'm like that though, kind of unorthodox but effective. Thanks for watching bro.

My only suggestion(s) for this rig is to Replace All the cables, (XLR, Cat 5, BNC and IEC power), with Right Angle Cables. This will save space And reduce "Stress" on cable ends. Get rid of the Gaffer's tape & shorten the cables. Nice rig.

Hello and thanks for watching my friend. Those are all great suggestions and I have made some adjustments since this video. Right now my power brick for the Behringer no longer has gaff tape across it in the back it now has heavy duty Velcro attached to the box and the bottom of the power brick. I currently have someone making shorter cat5E cables for me since I suck at it (lol). The BNC cables are not a problem because I have been able to cascade out of the antenna distro to another one with no issues. Lastly I elected to leave the microphone audio cables at 3 feet because sometimes I do a bridge out of the box to the side to a x32 to compact. Am I testing of 90° angle cables they sometimes block other outputs on the mixer so I don't use it. The case also has enough clearance on the top lid where they do not cross the cables are stressed them out. I don't like how you think though. I get many great ideas from people like you and time incorporate what works best for me at the moment.

Just use your wireless router to sync the mics…you don’t need the added switch/ hub. Thanks for sharing!
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions Год назад
Hello Will and thanks for watching. The Krackin is more versatile than I explained. For example, I sometimes bridge it to my x32C also. There are also times where I use 8 mics so the switch in the Krackin is for networking mics 1-4 without having to ever disconnect them(convenience). I also never disconnect the XR18(convenience).The router then is left with two ports to bridge to my X32C and another mic rack with it's own switch mics 5-8. I should do a video about just the networking I use. Check this out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y37Fq2mOuCY.html

Awesome system! Do you get any wifi interference with the dmx controller?
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions 2 года назад
Hello Nathaniel and thank you for watching this video. I don't have any interference from my DMX controller because the FlareCon is on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi where as the dual band router is on 5GHz and is more secure. Between my router, microphones, and the FlareCon Air, none of it interferes with each other.

That is interesting. I have the airstream bridge and a pair of shure GLXD mics and on a few occasion in certain venues I am unable to use both of them at the same time. It's not often but even one time is not a good look.
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions 2 года назад
@@nathanielweekes8899 I'd suggest setting up all lighting first and then scan mics last.
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions 2 года назад
Hey bro, I was checking out Shure frequency finder www.shure.com/en-US/support/tools/frequency-finder , and I didn't see the GLXD on their list. Now I do still have a couple of PGXD microphones which are discontinued. Versus some of the most advanced microphones the GLXD and the PGXD does not show a particular frequency on the display but it does show a group number. In the Shure frequency finder, although it says the PGXD microphone is discontinued I still use that to determine the best group number to determine what group number I should be using for that mic system. Maybe you can try this with your GLXD mic in the Shure frequency Finder app but use the PGXD as a template since Dj Alex D is not listed anywhere in that frequency finder choice. Also, have you contacted Shure to let them know you were having that problem of not being able to use both of your microphones at the same time?

@@gfire_productions thought you could hook up any light that had profiles or even create a profile from scratch?
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions 2 года назад
@@stuartpaul9211 I will try my best to explain this a little bit better. Simply put, this build is centered around the Behringer XR18 mixer which is a wireless digital mixer and needing an app to control it. I do not use any app-based lighting control when I'm using this mixer so I don't have to toggle between the two apps on my iPad. Again the main purpose for this box is the mixer and everything else is built around that. The lighting control is just an additional convenience. To avoid having to toggle between a lighting control app and my mixer app when the priority is mixing, I chose to go with a rack mountable DMX controller. All of my wireless lighting is from Chauvet so it made sense to use a wireless transmitter from Chauvet which is the FlareCon in my case. I do have lighting that are non-wireless like moving heads and geysers but no matter what manufacture they are, if I want to make those wireless it makes sense to use a device also from Chauvet to receive the signal from the FlareCon like the DFi Hubs or DFi XLX receivers. I would not attempt to use an ADJ My DMX Go to transmit wirelessly and then receive them with a Chauvet DFi Hub for example. That could be problematic. I suggest go one way or the other when it comes to wireless sending and receiving. Since I mostly use wireless fixtures from Chauvet it makes sense for me to use Chauvet FlareCon to transmit and Chauvet DFi Hubs or DFi XLR to receive.

I’d love to know the weight of it and how you move it around if it’s really heavy.
@gfire_productions
@gfire_productions 2 года назад
Thanks for watching. With only two microphone receivers racked is 57 pounds. I usually put it on a flatbed roller that I have purchased from Home Depot or sometimes put it on my subwoofers and roll it to where I need to use it because my subs have wheels on them. However, there are times where I have to physically carry it from my car to where I'm going to use it and it is very manageable to do so for me. You could easily use this on a variation of different carts to get it where you need to use it. Here's how fast it is to pack up when it's time to go home ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GBlLLerpr68.html
