Enjoyed the video, very informative. My girlfriend and I went 25 times last year with the ultimate frequent fear pass with express. Definitely a record for us lol. Our previous record was 17 times. We didn’t renew our universal/IOA annual passes, so we decided to go all out for HHN32. Hopefully the popcorn 🍿 symbol it is an Usher house. My favorite icon. Thanks for the video. Subscribed. 😊
Thank you for subscribing, and welcome to the spooky fam! Niiiiice - 25 is impressive! I live in Tampa, so that was a lot of miles back and forth on I4! LOL. And hey, can't blame you for going all out!
The Bride Lives is one of the best houses I have ever ever been in. It was engaging, exciting, and had me so invested in a way that I am not usually invested. I hope it's Bride related.
Hey Liz 🎃 just subscribed. 19 nights, so amazing! We did 9 last year. Can never get enough HHN. I do not want Ghostbusters. Been there done that. I don’t care for the kiddie horror houses like that. I am so down for an Egyptian house. How awesome would that be?🤩 I am so down for a Major Sweets house. I spent so much time in that SZ. I would also be stoked if the popcorn 🍿 ends up being an Usher house. 2009 was my first year! 🩷 121 dayssss!🎉🎃👻
Hi Krystal! Welcome to the spooky fam! Not sure I'll be able to keep that record again, but I'll be trying :) Yesss. The originals are sounding great this year, even if the IPs seem a little more weak. Bring on the fog!
awesome video. There's no excuse why they wouldn't announce a hose already and why you wound design to separate lagoon shows at the same time, one for the summer and the other one for HHN. This so far is the HHN year that I'm least excited about.
The logistics part worries me as well. I would imagine the new Dreamland area could be off-limits since it's opening in the summer. My only hope is that the tents are spaced apart enough to keep the queues from feeling cramped. It's pretty obvious that Universal is gearing up for Epic Universe's grand opening next year, so it will be curious to see how this year is executed and how the event will change moving forward.
It's definitely intimidating thinking about all those tents cramped in the back. I have the same thoughts about the Dreamworks area being roped off since it'll be so new!
Liz did you make it out in 2016? That was my first year at the event and I know this got a lot of hate but I was forever changed with the Walking Dead house. My mom and I got out and had this moment of screaming oh my gosh!!!! That was awesome. Definitely a core memory experiencing that. I have a 6 month old little boy but I keep swearing the second they announce a nightmare on elm street house - I’m there. I’ve been hoping for one since I fell in love with the event in 2016 🫶🏻
I did! I think the struggle with The Walking Dead is that by 2016, it was our 5th year of having it at the event. So locals who go every year were all super jaded and over it by then. I can't actually remember which house was which for TWD for 2015 or 2016 - they blur together for me! But I can completely understand seeing it for the first time and being blown away!
@@DiscoLiz our favorite was the end room that you walked through and they had strobe lights going and dummies and scare actors so you were disoriented and couldn’t tell who was a person or a dummy until you got right up on them and they lunged at you. Super fun house but yes I totally understand locals being over that IP 😂
If the originals are along these lines i think im gonna love them 😊 Not sure how i feel about A Quiet Place but hoping it will surprise me. I love the colour of your lipstick. I cant find a dark one i like 😔 x
With the rumor or comment that there would be a sequel house… popcorn could be Slaughter Sinema, Universal Palace…. Or no one has said All Night Die In, which facade of a theater screen would be cheap and easy for a tent.
I am with you a museum house sounds awesome. The new Ghostbusters movie was great so I would love to see that house and I’m obsessed with Egypt it’s on my bucket list to go to someday. How many steps a day do you take to prepare for HHN? I’ve been walking on my treadmill every day in hopes to be prepared to walk all night.
Yesss for the museum house! Egyptian history and lore is SO rich with content. It would be amazing! So I've been doing 8000-10,000 steps per day to prep for it. Depending on how long you spend at the event, it's very easy to hit the 10K steps or more each night!
We need a house announcement already 😔 I don’t know how to feel about this year. I am not as excited as other years. Don’t get me wrong I have hotel reservations and RIP tickets already purchased 😊 so we are ready lol! I wish we lived closer and could do 19 nites (you’re so lucky). Why we do RIP…just the best way to experience an event once that we wait all year for. I love your museum curator background! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ As a kid I wanted to be an archaeologist 😍
With this Epic Universe announcement happening tomorrow, I'm hopeful that's freeing up the space for an HHN anouncement in the coming weeks! I think the originals have great potential, even if it's a weaker year for IPs. I am definitely lucky to be close and able to go so often!!!
I could wait to watch on my laptop so I'm watching on my phone lol Omg if we had a gender bent uni Monsters?! I'm sold I'm in I'm already in line! Tbh I don't want any ghostbusters point blank period, meh. If its Insidious I'll be hiding behind you for real for real XD A museum style house I would LIVEEEEE for!
For museums, it's basically a full scene display. Think like... Living with the Land at Epcot, with the buffalos on the plains. Older museums used to be full of those, with mannequins and taxidermied animals to set the scene.
