You said something today that clicked for me. I have ADHD and have always struggled with cleaning. You said to focus on one thing not the whole kitchen. I did that tonight and I felt so accomplished with how clean I got that area. I am moving around the room and making great progress.
I don't know if my suggestion will help you but it helps me. I start in one corner of the room and work around the room. Good luck cleaning, on area at a time.
That’s awesome! I learned somewhere in my life to only touch something once. Pick it up and find it’s home or if it’s trash, toss it. Of course when you are moving things to clean under them, then that doesn’t apply. It certainly helps me when I have mail and books and clothes etc that need my attention. Keep up the good work ❤
I don’t have adhd but still struggle to stay on task. I always find myself all over the place when cleaning. Starting in 1 section at a time is such a great suggestion
There was this one spot on the counter that you kept missing. It was driving me crazy. I finally figured out that I need you to come clean my tablet screen.
🤣🤣🤣. That is hysterical. I’ve done that in my car with my sunglasses. I kept thinking there was a ding in my windshield of my brand new car. No, just me being a doof.
Yep. And let there be a spec on mine & im just unable to proceed without cleaning it but my husband… I just don’t understand why he wear them. I mean they are so filthy how can he see daylight??? Ugh 🤮
As someone with adhd I find that cleaning floors by hand on my hands and knees is so much easier than using mops because it feels like less area to tackle while I'm working in little sections but gradually moving across the whole area. That's my little hack for anyone else who gets overwhelmed by their floors.
I started cleaning at 9 years old. I asked my mom if I could clean the TV room. I took everything out and cleaned the room and then cleaned each item as it went back in. I didn't know it had a name. I like the name you gave it...move out/move in.
I used to clean my friends’ rooms whenever I went over to play! They loved it and their parents were thrilled! They must’ve thought I was a strange child. I thought it was so fun to clean my friends’ dirty rooms!
@julesbuscho2063 My cousins came to visit one day when I was gone to my grandparents for a week. My cousin, Christy, cleaned out my dresser and refolded all the clothes. I was so surprised.
Happy Birthday 🎂🎁 Poor Daniel. He’s being sacrificed to the cleaning gods. 😂 I think breaking cleaning into smaller tasks is a good idea. My OCD can take over and give me anxiety about everything in the house. I end up obsessing at 2am. Smaller tasks will tell my OCD to go suck it.
Ok we need to address just how totally adorable the dogger was! I mean, how did ya'll not drop everything , every time she walked into the room, and not cuddle her? I mean: sooo cute! ❤❤
I was sad for her. Why did the old man leave her there. She should not have been exposed to all those chemicals and dust. And she shouldn’t be lining with that man in all his filth
@@sunnydays802when men lose their wives they are lost emotionally, and overwhelmed. This sort of thing creeps up on them. The dog is well loved and doesn’t care about dust. Given the chance he would probably love to roll in mud.❤ have a sunny day
I really like how you understand how people actually use their homes. I have a few mini zones in my house such as a coffee zone where I keep my coffee and tea, sugar etc on the bench and a medicine zone in a small box on the bench. Same in the bathroom. It works for me and helps me keep things tidy. Happy Birthday from Australia. 😂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Love your channel. It has done wonders to motivate me to clean our house. My husband was off work all of last year for health reasons, and I was just in survival mode. I kept dishes washed and laundry done, and precious little else. I'm deep cleaning a bit more every week trying to get back on top of everything. Thank you for showing us the difference it makes. You're helping more people than just those in the videos.
Happy birthday! And may God bless you to see many, many more. I knew the plaque was coming congratulations to the best channel on RU-vid ❤. Welcome to you Daniel, I hope to still see Jason ❤
Love the shout out to Greg Davies and Alex Horne. In the UK we call the thing that goes in the sink a “thingamabob”. Happy Birthday (please don’t set Daniel on fire, he looks like a champion washer-upper), thanks for all the chuckles and handy tips, cheers!
1:30 That's why I have a series of towels to drain dishes on which get laundered after a single use. Those drying racks are an enormous pain to keep clean.
Happy Birthday! Thank you for helping people. It amazes me that you do this for free and as a hobby. That's unheard of. Yet here you are making such a difference. I'm sure these homeowners appreciate what you do in ways you can't even imagine.
Subscriber here… Happy Birthday! And welcome to Daniel. 👋 As a former housekeeper with OCD, thanks for the videos, they are so satisfying plus helps these folks so much. ✌️
I have as been watching your channel 2 weeks. What an inspirational channel. You are non-judge-mental. You have taught me some cleaning hacks. Love your voice.
I like to figure four leg lock my dirt into submission, just so it knows who’s boss. That’s just the way I roll son. Happy birthday and all the best🥳🥳🥳
I have stainless kitchen appliances. None of the stainless cleaners that I tried would polish them without streaks. I made your APC and got the extra fine microfiber cloths. Problem solved. Thanks for sharing that tip. Oh, and Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!!! I hate cleaning!!!!! The truth is I don’t really know how. I don’t know to do and where to put what. But I enjoy watching you clean up and you inspire me to clean.
I love watching your videos. They are actually an inspiration! I watch your video while I am doing dishes or another area of my apartment. And I am picking a lot of techniques by watching your videos. I love cleaning, so your videos are really inspiring. Also, this man is going to be so happy, it's a clean up he can now enjoy
I've been watching this in me free time over the last couple days, and today I used what I learned from you! From many of your videos in general, but especially about cleaning for an older single man. I started cleaning for my grandpa today, and appreciated your advice about leaving some things where they are because they are used daily! He really seemed to appreciate that. I even realized that he leaves things out on the counter more than I'm used to because it hurts his back to lean down and put them in the cupboards. Thank you for helping me to see things with the right perspectives!
Happy VERY late birthday. I noticed that you went out of your way to make Daniel feel welcome and part of this video. You are always so thoughtful of others. Fondly, Dorothy.
I know from working and cleaning the houses of seniors in my area is to keep their medications exactly the same as they have them when you walk in. Many times they are in a routine and know exactly where they keep their medications and in what order they keep them. Moving them or rearranging them can cause them to take the wrong medications or to much of them. So keeping them exactly the same is important.
Happy Birthday 🎉🎂 I love your videos so much! I have anxiety and these videos are so comforting and u make laugh 😂 as well it's awesome thank you so much for all u do! 💯❣️🙏
Happy Birthday! I love watching you and listening to how you do things. I have learned a lot from watching you. I tend to try to take on too much at once. I like your new guy also. I especially love his hair. I am guessing that the dog belonged to the owner of the house. He sure followed Daniel around. As for your matching shoes and shirt...first class all the way!
I wish you a happy birthday. My birthday was on Friday. My house is exactly like this guy's. I'm glad I'm not the only one like this, now I know I'm not alone
Happy birthday! I actually cleaned my kitchen last week by using your ADHD method! It's been so nice being able to cook without piles of dishes and groceries everywhere! Thank you for your videos and tips!
Happy belated birthday! I love your videos and the compassion that goes with them. You and Barbie are heroes in what you do, and I’m so glad you’re here making the world a better place one clean at a time. :)
Happy Birthday! (Sure wish you could clean/organize MY house. I'm crippled up with arthritis and can't do anything anymore.) Your new helper is cute (I'm almost 78 yrs. old, but I still know cute). 😸😽👵🎂🍰🍧🐈
I know this is an older video, but I thought I'd comment anyway. I love your videos so so so much. I'm sort of watching them in backwards order. You are an awesome individual doing awesome things for people with an awesome understanding of the disorders that cause some of the conditions you are helping to clean/organize. Also, my sense of humor is improving, my name changes nearly every day and my spin-kick is nearly perfect. And oh, look, there are more dishes. I just have one question...do you REALLY hate spin-mops? Or is that sarcasm? Because I see SO MANY spin-mops...I just want to know if I need to go buy a spin-mop! Thank you if you see this comment! Love your content and your desire to help so many people!
Happy Birthday Butt Pumpernickel! I just discovered your channel and have been watching your videos. I love them. I used to clean houses too so I really get it. Love the humor! Great channel. Suck it.
I love this dog oh my goodness 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Happy Birthday my friend!!! I hope you have a good one!!! Also, you crack me up when you say that people start crying 😆😆😆😆 I immediately start laughing.
I don't usually allow other people to have birthdays in the same month as me but I will make a special allowance for you, since you're so good at spin kicking, break dancing, and waxing a chump like a candle. Also, you tuned me into the magic of that bald guy clean freak spray and that's really cool too.
Happy Belated Birthday! Nice to see you have a helper, he did a great job and so did you! Great video as always, I loved it! I hope this 73 yr. old loves what you started for him! I also hope that he can keep it maintained. I had to go out and buy a new book again. The first one didn't work, lol But I am going to have to start getting rid of stuff that I don't need. It's going to take me awhile. I guess the book says I have to handle every single item, and ask myself Do I love it? If the answer is no, it's outta here.
Happy belated birthday! I just started watching you recently. I am amazed at how you clean and the respect you give your clients. My grandson is autistic he is only 4 right now but I wonder how he will be when he is grown up.
