Let's Draw a STEAMPUNK ROBOT - FANTASY ART FRIDAY 

Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of a Steampunk Robot! I was really looking forward to attempting another Steampunk drawing after working on my first one a few months ago. This ended up taking about 7 hours because of all of the little details - and it was a lot of fun! He looks like a warm happy giant. I love this character you created. I can see him being super playful with a random object like a leaf 🍃

This one was exceptional, love the depth and shadows, and the champagne with the greys really played well together.

It's so lovely! I can easily imagine all the cogs and gears turning and twisting to make the robot go forward. I also adore the white details, it makes everything pop so nicely! What a nice Steampunk drawing! :)

Love the steam effect on this. I was worried at first the 6B pencil would be too dark! Great use of colours. Will definitelly be looking at something like this colour scheme in some steampunk style drawings.

Make a steampunk or other robot vs any kind of giant

I really liked the use of the brighter colors in small areas, that technique could be used for like lava pouring out of a dragon's mouth or even another steampunk drawing like this. just learning how to draw light in my classes, so pretty cool!

I must applaud you on your maturing character design skills. Your pieces as of late have really been showcasing the forethought and preparation that you certainly must be applying to every piece. If I have any constructive criticism is that whilst the black comic panel style boarder definitely works on many of your finished projects, it is starting to feel like somewhat of a crutch on a good percentage of your drawings. As a fellow artist, I certainly understand and appreciate individual style -- and comic style boarder is definitely one of the markings of a LethalChris piece of art -- but so many of the classic artists and even modern-day artists venture into different directions, however minute, to experience their own art in a whole new (possibly exciting) way. Might I suggest utilizing a different color boarder possibly drawn out of the background colors, or a contrasting color not even found in the background but still suiting the piece? Maybe the boarder line can be thinner, thicker, doubled or tripled, or a gradient effect. If you want to experiment with no boarder line (gasp!), try changing up the background to something completely unexpected. I oft enjoy looking at physical wallpaper for interesting patterns that inspire -- don't fear "stealing" from other artists so long as you learn from them, build your visual toolbox, and credit them if you do "copy/paste" their work -- me to include something aesthetically pride-inducing that I might not have even considered otherwise. Well, I certainly mean nothing negative against your work. I just love seeing fellow artists grow and expand their previously unknown personal limits.

Dear Chris, you should start a Dear Chris thing for ideas on what to draw or something like that at least. I think you should do a mythical battle scene with different mythical animals like Griffins and make it look kind of like Narnia but a custom version that's your own
