🙄 my friends told me i should ask for help more so let me know if you prefer when someone else is moving around filming me cook vs me putting y'all on a tripod...or in the microwave lol
Honestly… whichever is easier or you like more. I like the background laughter and the directing from you, but I also like don’t think it’s necessary if it makes the process of filming significantly harder or requires more coordination.
Back when I was like 2-3 and we would travel to Nigeria, my travel pills used to be crushed with honey (because who gives a 2-3 year old pills to swallow?) and I spent my whole childhood tasting only bitterness whenever I ate honey. So when people said “sweet as honey” and things like that I was always confused because it didn’t taste sweet to me. Eventually in my teen years, I clocked that I was associating honey with the bitterness of the crushed pill. Anyway, mid-late twenties now and I can enjoy honey again. Won’t He do it!! #Healed #SetFree #BreakEveryChain (Also yes, I have memories from the age of 2. People never believe me, but I do.)
I freak my parents out regularly with my vivid memories of the layout of our first apartment when I was definitely still sleeping in a crib. And yet I regularly forget if a took my vitamins in the morning lol
Seeing you create from SCRATCH and then fix it right there at the end, is beautiful. Girl, you killed that!!! I'll take chapati over Apricot? Chicken? Salad? any day but seeing you enjoy the fruit of your labor?!?? Priceless!!
THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL ABOUT HONEY BEING AGGRESSIVELY PLANTY AS HELL 😭😭 ppl look at me all kinds of ways when I say it’s too strong sometimes, all them damn floral notes…😒 I appreciate the work it takes tho and still drink it with tea and such 🙏🏾🙏🏾🐝🍯💛
Ya did well to cut the beet stems up fine! One of my favorite 'hippie grub' recipes for the beet greens (and/or chard): cut up the stems and leaves together, with a bit rougher, larger chop. Saute them in a little oil (whatever ya got) and some salt on a high enough heat that they steam up, then blister a little bit. Toss in golden raisins (or dried apricots would be good!) midway through the cooking process. Finish on the plate with a driz of pomegranate molasses and pepitas (toasted pumpkin seeds). It'll make you feel like a dirty farm girl in all the good ways.
definitely enjoyed the friend filming vibes. both is great but it was a little something new. also makes me want to have one of my friends record me since I'm just starting out
whole milk cultured cottage cheese is BOMB idgaf especially savory put some pepper, olive oil, chili, pickles, savory nuts, or that indian mixture and it tastes like curd rice YUM. try lemon in the chicken salad journey next time!
Hello Friend, I put plenty of fresh coarse black pepper on my cottage cheese. Try it! sometimes , if I want a sweet/savory type of thing, I use honey and coarse black pepper.
Ong I'm about to make a chicken salad tonight. I got a bunch of apples and "okayish" chicken to use up with some cashews and walnuts, maybe a little squash cubes too.
I luv me some Evelyn.. you make my day! If you could post everyday the world would be a better place, not sure about you but the world would benefit greatly:)
I wish I could get down with cottage cheese and fruit, but it's not for me. savory tho, yes! jalapeno kettle chips and cottage cheese is one of my favorite snacks lately.
