“The Rogue Song” is a lost film. MGM released the soundtrack in The Seventies apparently when the film could not be found. Laurel & Hardy were added as box office insurance. There is only one of their gags from the movie that has survived. The complete film remains lost.

Sam Lanin's Dance Orchestra, "Where Is My Meyer" has a tune copied from the Dutch folk song "daar wordt aan de deur geklopt" from 10:56! Coincidence?
@pax41
@pax41 6 лет назад
I will have to look up that song if there is one online but I am not familiar with the Dutch folk song Sebastiaan.

Thanks for 54 great minutes! By the way, I'm pretty sure that Track 3 is Irving Kaufman in his "crooning" style -- and not the Scrapster.
@pax41

You know I wasn't really sure on that track. I listened to it several times and I saw another site listed Irving but I didn't think it sounded like him at all. I guess it is, thanks for the input.

Yes, this music I can face! -- it's the stuff from some subsequent times that I hide from. Fabulous set -- favorites for me include the Shilkret sides, Bernie's "Imagination," Selvin's "A Faded Summer Love," Denny's "That's All That Matters"; the top spot goes to Whiteman's "Do I Hear You Saying," with the beautiful vocals and Trumbauer solo -- a favorite side of long standing!
