I learned so much Manahill! Thank you. Some of the most indolic fragrances I own are Dior Addict, Dior Pure Poison, Alien Musc Mysterieux and the Queen Mother-Lust by Lush.

The fragrances on my perfume stand right now are: - Gris Dior MASION DIOR 8/10- its a nice fresh rose patchouli with a watery transparent vibe - Rouge Malachite ARMANI 6.5/10- honestly i prefer vert's opening but rouge's dry down but its still nice - Oud Rose Intense FRAGRANCE DU BOIS 10/10- my favourite fragrance EVER! It smells so classy, almost regal, fresh spicy rose. - Angelique Noire GUERLAIN my most favourite vanilla scent. Its just so beautiful! Makes me feel elegant. Its honestly a Siren of a scent- lures everybody in. - Ylang in Gold MICALLEF 6.6/10- smells like a tropical lychee, banana toned light vanilla custard pudding. i also recently acquired a bottle of Nishane Ani My Wish List is: - Gris Charnel BDK, smells like a sandlewood infused milk chai with a light layer of cardamon and toasted coconut shreds sprinkled on top. Very creamy - Woman in Gold KILIAN- smells like a woody citrus rose - Oud Orange Intense FRAGRANCE DU BOIS- smells like a Miss Dior EDP but 100000 times better - Cruz Del Sur II XERJOFF- smells like mango icecream - Oud Jaune Intense FRAGRANCE DU BOIS, maybe? i dont know yet Have you smelt any of these?

No fragrance reviewer can explain it the way you did, strange how you are not getting more exposure! thank you very much for explaining indole, I was curious about it because i wanted to make a leather accord, it is very simple and contains 4 materials, Labdanum 1, Castorium 1, Indoll at 10% 1, and a phenomic smell like thyme 1. I dont have indole, what I have is cevit which smell horrible!

New subscriber, sent over from MOJANN. This was a real learning experience, TFS. I've worn Red Door for years..... it's a beast and can be cloying. I rarely reach for it anymore. *The death scent link article(s) were good and led to further information. I'm Catholic, and never knew the formal name of the incense holder. It's a Thurible per the site. I have my eye on a niche incense perfume, but the cost is considerable. It's from CARNER. I'll continue wearing my Cassini frag. It is beautiful and still being sold on discount sites. Looking forward to your videos 🙋.

Have you had the chance to smell anything from the house of Fragrance Du Bois? Id love to know your thoughts on Oud Jaune, Oud Orange, Oud Rose, Santal Complet, New York 5th Ave, New York Intense, Milano and Petals De Cashmere. I want to know your thoughts on them and see if they are worth the asking price. Maybe a video dedicated to the house discussing wich ones are worth it? The scent itself needs to be 8/10, the longevity needs to be at least 8/10, the projection needs to be atleast 7/10, and the versatility needs to be atleast 5/10 to justify the price tag. Thankyou!

Never watched your channel before but I love the chemistry-approach to perfumery. Good stuff. I liked your point about the late 19th century craze for 'good-girl' solifleurs like violet. At that time only a street walker would wear a scent with musk and narcotic flowers. I'm glad I live in a time when I can wear anything, and unisex perfumes are a thing.

Honestly as someone new to fragrances, I’ve come to realize fragrances reflect who you are on the inside better than what you wear. What you smell like is who you are. I could see people getting mad over someone who flaunted a sultry scent in the past because it made those around her see her for who she was. Also perfume ads/marketing is actually so spot on. What you see in an ad, is how the perfume is supposed to make you feel.

Some Jasmine based frags are TUFFFFF on my skin.
