Seems like MJ could sense that his brothers were “envious” of him but he didn’t wanna say they were “jealous”. Like they love him and are definitely proud of him but I’m sure they can’t help but be a little envious. And I think Michael got the love from his mother when his father didn’t give him love. Seems like his mother loved him double to make up for his father not loving him properly. Him and his mother were extremely close.
Quite a few big celebrities at the time were jealous of MJ, not because of his fame or fortune but because he was different from what the rest of them were in the entertainment business, he was this shy, polite spoken, well dressed up and coming pop star with a squeaky clean image, and weren't sure how to take to that, it practically dogged him the rest of his life.
Totally agree with you Michael Jackson didn't deserve it at all ✌he was a amazing man did so many amazing things for people around the world and he was treated so bad.
Loved your analysis on the emotional detachment, i think that despite his father, Michael got it from his mother because Katherine was very loving comparing to him, he loved her so much that he gave his money, legacy and children to his mother while he gave nothing to his father in his testimony.
He was picked on at that length because he was so so famous. I believe they wanted to knock him down because he had too much power for a Black person. The powerful entities didn’t want that.
He looked pretty happy when he was younger, in every performance, every interview, every show he seemed very happy! I am sure he got depressed sometimes like we all do, but you make it sound like he was always sad, unhappy and miserable, which is NOT true at ALL! He was also very happy when he was with Lisa Marie Presley for the 9 years he was with her. He was NOT always depressed like you seem to claim.
@@leahartlee29 Although I agree with you partly, I do know from experience, one can seem outwardly happy even in childhood (again from experience), but carry a heavy burden of continuous sadness/melancholy that you cannot explain as a child and can only verbalize as an adult. I think when he said he was sad for a long time, it can be synonymous for depression... I find MJ totally relatable in that sense: able to bring extreme joy to others and appear happy when in fact, you are totally sad in your every waking moment. RIP MJ
I just watched this interview TODAY! actually and i thought it was so genuine and honest. Michael was a wonderful, generous man who deserved so much more.
Ok, so I got emotional detachment, but my stepmother was a narcisist mother and my dad was a great dad, but he was a Marine officer and he was often gone... but Michael had his mom, and I really thank God for that and I thank God for every human that got to meet and grow with their moms... it wasn't my case....I am a freak even if I am 42 ... I try so hard to be a normal person...may God help me! Thank God for Michael, thank you for analyzing the interview. RIP, KING of hearts 🙏🏻👑❤
you should react to "we are the world at the world music awards 2006" its really touching when you understand the timeline of everything that happened the year before, theres also a video explaining the importance of that appearance but i haven't watched it so idk if its good
Maaaan this whole interview, every time Michael was trying to say something really important like telling people "So please don't believe this" or "Don't buy the papers", she cut him of like "Ok ok, next question". Oh MY GOD she is irritating.
But I don't understand why you should take your childhood abuse trauma on your innocent children , they didn't do anything to you. The only person you should be thinking about abusing and body shaming is the one you should be doing that to. That's not the right thing to do taking your emotions on innocent people it's a sin and a crime.
Sadly, most of us kids in that Generation (Michael's) were hit, sometimes with belts when we did something wrong, because our parents were also hit. Thank goodness the cycle has been broken for soo many people and most people don't hit their kids anymore. That kind of discipline IS abuse! Of course, we all turned out to be good people, but the price was too high in that respect. Especially if you were sensitive to begin with!
Regarding your comment about Michael not being emotionally detached, if you follow astrology MJ was a virgo sun with pisces moon and pisces rising so his rising is who he presented to the world along with a pisces moon giving him emotional vulnerability being able to empathize with others peolple's pain so it's very difficult for someone with strong pisces placements to hate anyone regardless of what they've done because pisces is unconditional love.
I don’t believe the accusations about him, but during the 80s and early 90s MJ himself made up the rumours about him and sent them to the press for PR and that’s also the reason he didn’t give interviews. He wanted the mystery around his name. He continued that in the early 00s too before the trials. It’s just that he tried to play the tabloids and they plaid him back, until it got extremely serious and he came out.
This is one of the few oprah Winfrey interviews I ever watched and the Michael Jackson one is my favorite. Actually the other ones were just clips on RU-vid.
That’s how most Old school Fathers were…Baby Boomers Fathers put fear in you…I’m 64 and look at my father photos and still get nervous…How ever I’ve have no…Criminal record No Drug abuse, No S.T.D. And No bastard Children…Retired Welder…And a Beautiful Mother, Both Parents R.I.P. 4 of us sisters and brothers…I’m number 3 of 4
Most kids no matter what color we got whip even in school. The way of life was different n very dangerous especially being black . Michael was like millions of kids worldwide. Oprah show her real colors and he gave her ,her first major interview smh.
Yes, I was in that generation, and I went to a diverse school and every kid of every color as you say, would talk about how we go hit! It was a sadly bonding experience! I'm glad the cycle has been broken, and MOST people don't hit their kids anymore.
Michael in his last years of life would only see his father at home if he made an appointment, but already with his mother, Michael left the custody of his 3 children and a good part of the inheritance to her, that alone explains how demonic Joseph managed to be while was alive i hate him
Michael was like that with his whole family pretty much, but he went on vacation with his parents and Lisa Marie Presley and her kids in 1997 it's here on RU-vid, Michael seemed like he had a good relationship with his father as he got older. I don't hate Joe, he made Michael, it's silly and a waste of energy. And Michael in his Oxford speech said he loved his dad and forgave him for his mistakes, like he hoped his children would forgive his mistakes with them. Joe was abused, and didn't know another way, like MOST parents who hit their kids. My dad hit us, but I forgave him, and we were best friends until he died. He was hit too. Thankfully, our generation (same as Michael's) broke that horrible cycle!
They press and all those greedy people took advantage of him because he just got to a point of Starstardom where he got just too much to say, to much influence + he was black. This guy dined with kings and queens and very influncial people in the world, from Nelson Mandela to ceveral presidents. They invited him to congressional meetings!?... Wtf does the guy from thriller on this table? XD. This Mofo decided to promote his HIStory album with the military all over the World. Who did such kind of things?.. He invested most of his time before and after concerts to visit unprivelidged children and even built a hospital. And not to mention his heal the world foundation. And the burning center which he launched after he got burned on his head in that Pepsi commercial. He got many people under his wings who loved him and mighty "friends" (to some degree) . So they got afraid of this guy, so they needed to put him down starting with his sells, record company and law settlements and molestation cases. which clearly haunted him for the rest of his life and which he was forced to pay off. All what the public saw at this point on television was this fragile sheel of a man, of whom they can take advantage of, regardless innocent or not.
These Oprah is 🤮🤮🤮 why did they absolutly want to get of him only the bad stuff?? What humen been put s another humen been on that kind of situotion ,to make him cry?? Whyyyy they cared about his ugly memories?? What awfull people this jiunalist , paparazzi...hate them..hate the way they make him look like a freak and he was the purest humen, the absolutly amazing performer ...😢😢😢😢😢😢 I am not an American ,but shame on those journalist ,this men was a national treasure and you trash his name like that for what?? Don t anderstund ,really don t ..R.I.P beautiful soul ,you are/he was a national trasure for the world ..😢😢😢it s not all of the interview and this women just ask him about awfull stuff..😢😢😢😢🤮 hate her...no i had that kind of parents like him and i am just oposite of theme ,and that teach me to love my kids and humen more. Believe me.
👏🏾 Yes and the settlement with Jordan Chandler. If he went to court and beat him in court then ppl would know they won’t be able to get money that easy.
Respectfully, I disagree with you on this being his biggest mistake. This interview was actually one of his best. It was an integral element(in conjunction with his super bowl performance)to the resurgence of his "Dangerous" album & his career in general.
@@creativenkods525 That civil settlement did give a negative perception, but he was damn near forced to settle that civil case. Michael Jackson attorneys attempted several times to postpone that civil trial until after the criminal investigation was concluded, but were denied each & every time. It is very rare for a civil trial(which is about nothing but $$$) go before a criminal investigation is concluded. The funny thing is that the state of California changed the law the following year in which prohibits a civil matter($$$) proceeding before a criminal matter(jail). That is why the 2005 criminal trial, in which Michael was overwhelmingly found NOT GUILTY, went to trial at all.
@@provocateurjoseph69 I believe he would never have done this interview! It's very strange that such a great man like Michael Jackson could not understand where and what to say... It's just not necessary to say such a things in front of millions of people around the world... The scariest thing about this interview is talking about the father! As if no one knows how he treated his children, his sisters and brothers talked about it several times, even their mother talked about it... But when Michael talks about it, it’s completely different and very bad... Just think... A very bad impression is created on a person who calls everyone to forgive and love and who inspires billions of people... He finally realized everithing, but it was too late!... I really think they did something to him...
He had too much power, that's it. All the made up stories came about after he purchased the ATV Music Publishing rights. Then when Sony merged with ATV, he therefore owned 50% of Sony music, the biggest music publishing company in the world. Basically he was getting payed every time someone played almost any song out back then. Then in the early 2000's he chose to leave Sony as an artist, while still owning half of their company. Let's just say they were pretty angry. So I wouldn't say "he bothered no one " hahaha, because he definitely bothered Sony.
I was never a fan of Oprah Winfrey because she always seemed fake and sneaky. She is an opportunist...her of all people should know this wasn't the way to treat him.
