People like that prey upon fear and politeness. I am so glad you had the courage to report it. Because it wouldn't have stopped. Also, there are other jobs. The fear of finding another good job can keep people stuck, and the predator knows this, and does this grooming and brainwashing as you described. This happened to me once, and it was a very toxic environment. At some point, I just snapped and I just decided that I am tired of people dictating how I think and feel. I started looking up RU-vid videos on what a Narcissist is, what a toxic person is, etc to get better educated on picking them out very quickly before things escalate. I went back to doing the things that I love to do. That is the best therapy out there. Now, I can detect it fairly quickly and shut them down. As soon as I know I am being targeted, I shut them down. They are not expecting that. I start off by telling them I know what they are doing, and they are picking the wrong target. That is their free warning shot, and if they are smart, they will pick someone else. They usually just look at me and don't respond or gaslight me, but they leave me alone after that. It took me years to come to that realization. I am so much happier in life, and I refuse to allow someone to destroy any joy in my life, including work. Hugs to you. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm a man and I was sexually harassed at my place of employment by the female boss when I was young. It was so hard having to deal with a person of power (she was the boss and the owner of the business) and not knowing how I could stop it. This included unwanted touching and fondling. I didn't know what to do about it so I quit that job. This was back in the early 1980's. Your sharing your story helps me and I know helps others with similar experiences. No one should have to put up with harassment on the job. That includes non-sexual harassment. One should feel safe on the job.

I am female but I have witnessed men harassed by females in power position many times and if they complain they are put in an even more uncomfortable situation because they are supposed to be flattered and like it.. Nobody deserves unwanted advances, especially in the workplace.

I went through depression in 2013, lost all motivation and happiness. Therapy works wonders. You are very brave telling us about it. Keep your positivity, it's hard but you have a good foundation and a great support system. ❤much love to you and Jacob.

No one should have to feel like their income and livelihood is at risk because of the behavior of a co-worker, much less someone in management. You did all of the right things, and shouldn't have to feel responsible for his behavior in the future. You did your part by speaking to others about the situation and getting him removed from that company. Glad you're seeking therapy and are hopefully moving past this upsetting time in your life. You're such a kind, fun-loving person and deserve all of the happiness in the world with Jacob, with your channel, and in whatever venture is ahead for you. We're all rooting for you!
Jenn, Healing is a series of small steps forward. You can't always see the progress , but there comes a time when you realize "I'm not where I want to be, but thank goodness I'm not where I was".... On other topics, my wife and I live in South Asheville. Your practiciner or can recommend a provider. Now, most likely the therapist will be here in Asheville, but getting the help you need is the most important thing....

I have been in a similar situation. I totally understand the triggers. Sometimes the stupidest stuff will trigger me. But all of that caused me to have social anxiety. I already had regular anxiety and depression. It’s definitely not a fun place to be. Every I see you in a video it makes me smile. I am so so glad that you are working through it. That does take a lot of strength.

I've been through a very similar situation, and like you, I didn't realize the trauma it caused until I was triggered a few months later. I went through depression and sought out therapy, which helped me get through it. The fact that you can openly talk about it tells me you're already headed in the right direction. I'm so glad that you and Jacob found each other. Having that support will give you strength. I will be keeping you in my prayers. I've never went through an experience like that but I did have a stalker for the longest time and it was a hard thing to go through even with getting help just to get a restraining order against him. Thank God I had a lot of support from family and friends. I hope that this video helped you and you find a great therapist for you.
