Yes, I think about tics in the fields. No we don't mow in May and we get lots of dandelion flowers for the bees and we get stares from our neighborhood folk that think the pretty manicured lawn with no bugs is the best way to keep their yard. I say HAH to that. I'll take the bugs and bees thank you. It snowed today, the buds are not really peaking out yet in my front yard. Perhaps we will have green grass next week. But this is the normal spring in my part of Alberta. Northern Alberta takes longer to bloom and southern Alberta begins much earlier, but I think they had snow today too, because of the foothills and mountains. We get lots of birds in our yard as we have feeders in the front and back yards. It was fun looking at the birds and the flowers. Thanks, enjoy your cutting. 🙂

We have many neighbors that want that perfectly manicured lawn - no variety, no wild flowers, just green grass. Which would be fine if it were just naturally green, but theirs are treated with all kinds of chemicals so NOT good for Mother Earth for sure. Me over here, I have clover, grass, dandelions, moss and whatever else feels like growing! (but the bunnies seem to enjoy munching on my yard the best!) That's wonderful you have so many birds that visit your feeders, must be a delight to see them. Spring has arrived and they know it for sure! omg yessss my idea is becoming fleshed out!!!!!! this is SO EXCITING 😍😁😍 never seen or heard of a tulip TREE? wow im obsessed. i was supposed to get a lilac cutting this year but she is now in another country for a few months😢 we both forgot about it AGAIN THIS YEAR AHHH!!! i love them so so so much but I'll be patient for next year, lol. i got my very first apple tree last week tho! a honeycrisp ❤ love these apples. i hope everything will grow alright, first time i planted a tree!! im slowly starting my seeds indoors now, we have 2 weeks until the last frost so things will start happening soon!!!! during this im working in my everything journal, ive just been working in this one cus im sooo eager to complete it. i have 25 pages(spreads) left to fill🥰 so exited! things are popping up here, so im going out for some botanical sketching soon😍 I had the worst hay fever last year for the first time in my life too.. thus far I've not had any symptoms this year, I'm praying to the old and new gods it stays this way lol😊 really felt like I was losing my mind last year, because we have 6 months of winter so I was indoors for like 9 out of 12 months of the year. I cannot do this again😭 wish me luck! I'm checking my mailbox later and I hope to see your happy mail soon! I haven't been very creative lately because of external reasons, but I will get yours ready soon!! me and the crows are having a little breakthrough everyday it seems😮 one or two of them are very comfortable with me, and they have started to sit on my railing and look at me observe me, very curious about me! it's really hard to contain myself because it's like a dream come true 🥺💘 I love my life i juuust ordered my first ink and brush pen (pentel one) for outdoor sketching and i cant wait! i completed finished the ink in my micro brush pen from DT(which i LOVE btw) and after adding water and emptying it completely again, i had to get some actual ink😊 really excited to give it all a try. probably my favourite art supply at the moment. something about the black pigment against the watercolour backgrounds just hits me right. i try to do no mow may every year😊 we need to get a new mower tho this year😅😅 They're so pricey! wow I have been wondering what this eagle screeching sound was the last week, seeing as there were no eagles around every time I heard it??? but I feed the local blue jay population and that makes a lot of sense😂!!!!! sneaky buggers blown away by mother earth goddess WOW!!!!! ❤ was great hanging out again, it's been a while!! much much love and lobsters from my beasts to yours😊💘✨ have a magical week!!

I would love to have an apple tree - we have two peach trees, two blueberry bushes and some strawberry plants but no apples (yet!). So wonderful you have lots of seeds you started indoors that will be ready to plant outside soon. It's always such a rewarding process to see plants grow from seedlings. So glad you're feeling better this year and I'm definitely sending you lots of extra lucky wishes for good health and lots of happy outdoors time! That's amazing that you're making progress with the crows, I'm sure they can sense your beautiful, gentle, creative spirit and want to be near you. 💕 Outdoor sketching and and an ink and brush pen - sounds like a dream! Do you mostly like to sketch botanicals? Mowers ARE pricey! Now there are electric options too which seem like the way to go if possible. My neighbor has one and I'm a bit jealous lol! Blue jays certainly are noisy, and I know they make those screeching sounds, but I didn't realize that was their hawk impersonation! So clever of them isn't it? Now when you hear it you will have to peek around and see if you spot any blue flashes flying by!
