"To everybody who got to see them live, I envy you." SAME. Yeah, I would give my soul and one of my kidneys to get to see Freddie and Queen live. The book looks amazing and the photograph is so precious ! Really happy for you, I get just as excited when I'm offered a book.
You can never go wrong with Queen. Such a unique sound. Thank you for the reaction. And you are indeed lucky to have such generous fans to have received those gifts. You make it very easy to like you. Your walls will be epic eventually.
Wow! What great gifts! Thanks for showing off Queen at Wembley! If you want to see Queen at their best, try Somebody To Love live at Montreal 1981! Great reaction! Thanks!
Just an awesome reaction! Queen is so dear to my heart. I am old enough to admit having seen them in concert over a dozen times. They were amazing! Long live Freddie’s memory!
Any chance to walk down the Queen memory lane is a good one! I love that you did this video! That entire Wembley concert was just EPIC, and still stands up to the test of time to this very day. 😎👏😁👌🤘🤘
Being a life long Queen fan I seen them perform Dec 1978 in Toronto Canada my ticket only cost $8.00 what an amazing concert on our feet for 2 hours that concert made me their life long fan and a collector of everything Queen love from Toronto Canada
Wow, amazing gifts, you are blessed. And yeah, I only wish I was born back then to go and see Queen live...hey universe, where is my time machine??? Amazing!!! Queen is always mind-blowing.
God I love this band ☺️Freddie was just phenomenal. I was far too young to have seen them in concert but I grew up listening to their music. Jase + queen ...fantastic!
As @Leona Rae pointed out: I really HOPE everyone realizes that the Bohemian Rhapsody movie is NOT a biography. (To the point that I really wish they would've put "Inspired by" at the beginning, with another disclaimer at the end!) I would still encourage folks to watch it... But THEN, please follow-up by watching a couple of the FANTASTIC Queen/Freddie Mercury documentaries that you can view for FREE, right here on RU-vid.🙏
Freddie did the vocal warmups before and during the song because originally the main part was written with and for David Bowie's much higher voice. Freddie could sing those parts if he had a lot of warm up but it still wasn't very comfortable for him. The parts Roger is singing was Freddie's original part. BTW I highly recommend watching his performance of Hammer to Fall from LiveAid '85 as it beats the hell out of any studio version they ever made.
Many other reactors that heard this song for the first time screamed VANILLA ICE as soon as the bass line came in. Vanilla was just a thief and Queen sued his ass. (and won big)
the only thing I have ever seen live from Queen unfortunately wasn't in person but I did see their performance on Live Aid. I don't think I peeled myself away from the TV during live aid the whole time it was broadcasting LOL but during this performance......if I was there I would completely flip out if David Bowie just stepped on stage and sang his part of this song
If he wants to see Freddie rock the crowd at the new Wembley stadium, it would have to be from the Olympic closing ceremony 2012. 20 years after he died and still commanding the crowd!!
Queen has always been my favorite band, and nothing gets me more emotional than watching videos of them live. I didn't even know that book existed and now I need to find it for my collection. I don't even know what to say to this video, just... Thanks for being awesome.
Thankyou youngman!! Really love the Neil Preston pictures, wow amazing. I love the Wembley concert, I hope you will check out some more Queen along the way. I suggest Who wants to live forever live at Budapest. Much bless to you!
Hello there! Love your shirt & OMG that book!! You’ve got great friends! 💕 We miss FREDDIE so much ... the music world was a better place with him in it! As for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie I actually loved loved the movie even with all it’s inaccuracies! Brian & Roger (Executive Producers) said the movie was always about the music & they felt an endearment towards Rami Malek. It certainly sparked a new generation of interest for Queen! 🎵💗🎵💗
This track was written in the summer of 1981 when Bowie and Queen both found themselves in Montreux, Switzerland, recording separate projects. After spending some time jamming, Bowie suggested writing a song together, which they did over a wine and cocaine-fueled 24-hour period. I love Queen and I absolutely adore Freddie and it’s great that the movie has inspired a whole new generation of Queen fans, but it upsets me that Freddie was portrayed as some kind of drug addicted prick, when he wasn’t like that at all. There are lots of stories in Google and interviews on RU-vid that contradict a lot of what was in the movie, not least the whole time line. But yes they did a great job of casting and costumes, and a great story of redemption as long as you don’t believe it all as truth. Anyway having said all that, great reaction, I’m jealous of your book and picture too! I hope to see you do some more Queen reactions. Somebody to Love live at Montreal 1981 (the same year as your photo) should be obligatory. Freddie is amazing, as is the whole band, so in sync with each other. That performance is why Freddie is considered the best vocalist in rock
I'm a singer, I've been singing in choirs since I was five years old. Freddie Mercury is just one of the best male vocalists of all time in all genres. He had an incredible range, an incredibly flexible and changeable voice (change pitch tone, timbre, inflection, etc.) with seemingly no effort. He sang in more styles with queen than most singers do listening to the radio, even back in the 80's when radio stations played lots of different styles on the same station. He wrote a sing to sound like it was an Elvis song. He wrote an opera aria for his favorite operatic soprano. He had more talent in a single bone in his little finger than like twenty other people.
Ha, I’m jealous of your book. There are so many great pics of them. He was with them for 10 years. Freddie’s roadie Peter “Ratty” Hince wrote a great book as well. He was actually Freddie & John’s roadie. You’ve got some great subscribers. 😎 ETA: they are celebrating 50 years in 2021. Very few reach that status...legends.
Oh yes, he is amazing!!! You might wanna check out Amigo The Devil also, fantastic artist and voice also. Amigo the Devil "Cocaine and abel" bridge city sessions. Or the track "hell and you" or my fave at the moment "Different anymore" Just look him up. Which ever track this man is also amazing!
Queen has always rocked ! You'd like the comparison video with their LIVE AID CONCERT and the movie's BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY- impeccable version by Rami Malek. They show them side by side...magnificent ! . Thank you ! PTX News ! Just released... YOUR POWER (billie eilish cover) by Mitch Grassi. His SOLO song, on a roof, gorgeous voice. Thanks for listening. :)
Your background is the new Wembley stadium, not built until 2007. Queen played the old stadium in 1985 (Live Aid) and 1986 (Magic Tour). There is also a Wembley Arena down the road which is indoors. Great gifts, the Neil Preston book is amazing!
If you havent seen it yet, you should react to the movie "the greatest showman". Amazing movie/musical, great cast, and think you would do a great reaction video for it!! Doo it!!
New to the channel, copyright stuff is it the music or the images that are causing u problems? I see so many other react channels that just flip the visual screen or zoom in so that it's not in original format or frequently pause so that ur commentary makes up x% of the vids. Has this changed recently?
I'm guessing u know that's the new Wembley stadium u have in the background, the old Wembley didn't look anywhere as good not trying to be picky but just incase u didn't know
