Some tips for those looking into the deck while Isolde's still around in MD: 1. Isolde is full combo with any Fire Warrior level 4 in grave thanks to Ricardietto. This means you can splash Ricardietto, Terpin, Durendal, and Museum into decks like Rescue Ace to add extra combo potential. Ferocious Flame Swordsman is the bridge to get 2 warriors without extenders, but it means no Apollousa generally. Pair this with easy Ricardietto access via Original Sinful Spoils and its extremely consistent to get to the combo in Rescue Ace. Full-full combo for RACE Inferoble is full RACE backrow, banished Hydrant for Preventer effect, Baronne, and Link Charles with one equip. 2. In my testing, six equips was all the deck needed if you max out Museum. 3 Durendal, 1 Joyeuse, 1 Almace, and 1 D.D.R. D.D.R. can be sent with Isolde and added back later with Renaud, which lets you reuse some of your resources. D.D.R. can be cut for a different equip like Axe of Fools if you care about the extra work needed to banish cards without running Phoenix Blade, though that's a lot easier with S:P around. 3. None of the Infernobles make great starters. The best starter for the deck is Neospace Connector into Aqua Dolphin. However, since so much of the Infernoble archetype are searchable extenders, it's not really THAT needed. Connector into Dolphin lets you rip extra cards from the opponent and baits handtraps hard, but comes with the caveat that neither monster is Fire, which changes your combo setup a bit and can conflict with cards like Renaud. 4. Immortal Phoenix Gearfried is your backup boss monster. It's synergistic with your equips and extenders, and works fine turn one or turn two thanks to its incredible removal effect. You won't often open with it, but Ogier can send it to grave for Renaud to pick up in niche combo lines, which lets you get to a negate before being in Nibiru range or summoning Isolde. 5. Without Isolde, the deck is just not good enough. It doesn't have consistent access to its synchros without sufficient setup and it doesn't have the cards to set that up consistently without Isolde. Not only can you not splash the engine into other Fire decks without her, but the deck by itself becomes incredibly vulnerable to handtraps, especially Veiler, Imperm, and Droll. I really enjoyed playing this deck in the TCG prior to the Snake Eye takeover, and I highly recommend it while Isolde is still around. It's fun, flexible, and complex.
This is a great synopsis. A few points of my own to add: * Whilst Neo Space Connector is the most popular Isolde engine, it is far from the only viable one. In particular I want to highlight the Battlin' Boxer engine, which fulfils the requirement for a lv4 non-tuner Fire Warrior needed for Ricciardetto lines. It also synergises nicely with King Dempsey if you're running him. Its main downside is Sparrer's attack restriction - not a problem going first but could definitely be one going second. And ofc you don't get that handtrap rip, which could be * Gearfried is indeed amazing. So amazing in fact that I encourage people to try out 60-card lists that utilise Isolde's ability to tutor him from the deck. Particularly with a Diabellstar engine as an alternative access to Ricciardetto, getting GF out to insulate your lines from Nib is quite potent. * There are plenty of useful equips to run if you are planning on running a more than 40-card build. Another extender in the vein of D.D.R is Living Fossil (the downside of which is rarely relevant thanks to Renaud/Maugis), and outside of Angelica, another notable equip for Charles is Metalsilver Armor. When combined with Oliver's targeting protection, your opponent will be locked out of targeting any monsters for any reason. This is a surprisingly potent floodgate when backed up with the other disruptions your board will likely have. * Finally, I want to give a shout out to some of the Arthurian Noble Knight cards that have some good synergy and have potential in certain builds. Medraut is still an incredible starter, though obviously the caveat that it needs a Noble Arms is a notable downside. Still, the lines that it enables are fantastic. Until Noble Arms are Needed Once Again is a nice send off of Ogier if you don't need to send a Fire Warrior. The Rank 4 Kings are great removal and, in the case of Artorigus, surprisingly useful as an engine. And finally, Camelot is both a consitency tool, allowing you to grab Museum in a pinch, or vanilla Artorigus for a lv4 extender (though I'd only recommend him in 60 card builds due to him being a garnet) as well as Infernobles really being able to make use of Round Table's End Phase effect - Roland in particular can be sent, trigger its search effect, then be added back to your hand to equip to Charles on your opponent's turn. Basically, there's a ton of room for experimentation with the deck, and I highly encourage people to.
This is going to be good. Infernoble is one of the most flexible and non linear combo decks in the game, and starting hands that look like bricks to a beginner are full combo through disruption for someone experienced with the deck. This deck does so much I often have to go for less than perfect board just to have enough seconds in the timer for the opponent's turn.
That being said, I definitely have still bricked a number of times with this deck due to drawing 3 equips, a normal that does nothing, and a hand trap.
@@Thekoodie if you are playing the noble knight normal monster, don't be surprised if that happens to you. Also is a good idea to have more than 40 cards since you want to have enough equip spells to send with Isolde.
@@Thekoodie this deck hates me. I played it during one of the events and even have everything for a pure-ish list. It bricked all the time in my hands. I might just suck with it, but seeing others go full combo was pretty cool. Its a neat deck.
Fun fact: A legend in Rocamadour, France says that they owned the original Durandal. After Roland realised he would die (Depicted in the card "Horn of Olifant"), he just chucked it all the way to France so it wouldn't fall into Moorish hands. That Durandal (or a symbolic copy made in 2011, who can say?) was stolen just last month.
It's the first time i watch this kind of learn an archtype and i can see why people like it. You really go over the relevant cards and try to build a deck with chat. Really cool. I'm only at 17 mins, but so far i really like it.
Isolde was super ban worthy like Halq and Verte. Yet I still believed banning Dolphin (handrips in general) and old Phoenix Blade could be enough to stop the bs like Armageddon Knight loops etc
Honestly my favourite thing about Infernoble knights, is that they are a reference to how the knights of Charlemagne (whome these cards are based on) are often considered a continuation or referencing the knights of the round table and king arthur (whom the Noble Knights are based on). Thus the first also fitting within the latter. Just a fun little history/myth fact.
i like the theming of infernobles, the spell cards are the weapons in the museum, they are "destroyed" when the monsters equips them and uses their effect so they are no longer in the museum, then they can be returned to the museum by other effects so other monsters can go get them
I love infernobles, they are so flexible, there's a way to play through most handtraps. They were also the deck that brought me back into yugioh, and staying around and seeing the new cards comming out was so satisfying. And a tip, Isolde send Ring for Ricardetto into Promethean Princess with a 4 in grave means regular combo + promethean and guarantes Ring for Charles end turn eff, and many many hands can achieve this
I just noticed I have almost all the cards to play a full Infernoble deck after building Sneak Eyes when it was first released in MD, back in the day when i was able to pull more the 2 UR from a 10x pack.
Infernoble Knights are an underrated but fun deck, they aren’t too limiting but can’t be splashed into anything, they can play through a lot and still end on good boards, and their play style is super fun! What I particularly like is I don’t think I’ve ever bricked with them becuase despite needing 2 cards to combo they can be almost any 2 cards, but they never feel busted or like every card in the deck is a 1 card combo (and when you start adding Snake-eyes they, predictably, go nuts with the 1 card combos that enables for them)
Oh this one will be an interesting watch for me. Noble Knights, and by extension Infernoble, are my favourite deck, and the only deck which I could consider to call myself an expert. Will be interesting to see a newcomer's take on the deck
@@HardlegGaming Finally got around to finishing this (sorry it took so long) and don't worry, you didn't. Like you said, Noble Knights are such a large archetype at this point, and Infernobles in particular are reliant on generic Fire Warrior/Equip support, that there was no way you could get a full grasp of the deck in one hour. I think you managed to pinpoint most of the utility of the actual cards within the archetype. The only real goof was dismissing Almace. In particular, it was strange to me that you dismissed it but praised Bradamante, who fills a very similar niche in the deck. Granted, I think this partly came down to an undervaluing of Joyeuse, and a lack of consideration for Isolde at the time, but even without those, Almace is still effectively more copies of Durendal at worst... which is exactly what you said for Bradamante. But yeah, other than that, great vid as always! Hopefully it encourages some more people to look into the deck.
I was playing against them and noticed that the spell has two quotation marks and noticed that the equips have the quotations in the names. It is a neat detail because of the lore.
My favorite archetype to play in Master Duel! I've been playing this for a few years now. I have several different builds that do different things, I have a Snake-Eyes variant that abuses Rekindling, I have a link heavy build that summons big tower link monsters, a Synchro variant, a fusion variant that uses Ultra Poly to summon Gilti-Gearfried and DPE and my final vairant (my personal favorite) a Crooked Cook variant.

I played this deck for one of my videos and it's quite fun. It sadly isn't going to compete too well these days, but if you wanna experience French Arthur, then these are the knights you are looking for.

Pro tip: There is not hard once per turn on the field spell at all, so each one that you open or search can become a equip spell search and extension by summoning from the spell & trap zone.
I like that you did the combos w/o Isolde since it's banned. It just shows you don't necessarily need Isolde to play Infernobles. Artorigus NKs on the other hand...
since you have a lot of fire level 1, a Diabellstar engine of 3 wanted, 1 Diabellstar and 1 OSS. If you are in master duel where isolde is legal neo space connector + aqua dolphin is the best 1 card isolde combo since it also look at the opponent's hands. Heritage of the chalice is also insane since you can search any of your infernoble monster or noble arm cards.
Big fan of using General Rai'ten to summon Eka in the opponent's standby phase to then bring out a Great Shogun Shien from the backrow, which means now the opponent can play one single spell/trap that gets negated by Charles or Ring lol.
as a yugiboomer returnee, infernoble has been one of my fav decks to play (even before the new support)... now if konami could just give me modern superquant support
I'm a sucker for Warrior Toolbox shenanigans so I always found Infernobles interesting, even though they wound up being one of the first things to abuse the lowered MR4 restrictions for Synchro spam and hand ripping shenanigans. The newer builds aren't AS aggressive about spamming both of those things, but still CAN do them to an extent, while focusing more on the Charles Turbo aspects.
One of my favorite decks, been playing them since Emperor Charles came out in MD and I'm still learning new things about it. Crazy good deck, borderline Tier 2 but very underplayed unfortunately (or rather luckily) due to being pretty complicated to pilot properly

Almace Pertaining to the sword with a name, as Durandal, Joyeuse and Hauteclaire, speak of its wielder. Turpin who fought alongside Roland. And also its allegedly the writer of the HISTORI di charlemagne. It speaks of Almaces Name as "The Blade of Ice
Ah infernoble knights, the deck that continues to keep me even slightly invested in yugioh. Ive made so many variants and tried so many jank packages after the isolde hit to keep it working in the tcg, and it can surprise some people. Right now Im using a package with the IB synchro for some extention. Also, I know you werent a fan of them pure, but Battlin Boxer Uppercutter, Sparer and Dempsy do so much more for this strategy than I feel it does for Boxers. Thankfully MD has Isolde, so the deck can be at full power somewhere at least!
What should I worry about Oliver and Company? Good catch on the Angelic Ring -- it's main purpose is to stop Dark Ruler No More which would completely wreck your setup otherwise. I play infernoble in TCG and use some Battlin' Boxer cards to make up for no Isolde (Battlin' Boxer Sparrer doesn't have a hard OPT so cards that get it out of the graveyard allow you to use it over and over)
At least for me, i play the Camelot field spell and 1 Artorigus vanilla for the free special summon and add of equip spell and 1 Custenntin Xyz for board removal. Also add one Angelica Equip its made for infernoble.

For the most part, Noble Knights don't help Infernoble, but Infernoble helps the Noble Knights. There's not much reason to play any of their monsters in Infernoble, but Heritage of the Chalice searches both archetypes and you can use any equip cards, so the original Noble Arms have a place (Arfedeuter mostly). Isolde can bridge the archetypes together pretty well for a deck that can do either Synchros or Xyz, but it's still not ideal just because most Noble Knights don't really do anything on their own, and they don't facilitate interruptions the way Infernoble cards do.
I play this with igknight and pheonix gearfried. Igknight can search any fire warrior from the deck... including gearfried. And the dracoslayer igknight monster let you special summon a monster from the deck (but it becomes a tuner). I find this deck really fun, but I'm sure there are better infernoble decks out there.
How are you supposed to know that Angelica's Ring is related? Easy, just travel back in time and be there on release of the newest support. The ring got released in the same pack IIRC. Also same pack as Snake Eyes..."oddly fitting" considering Infernobles are FIRE and some happen to be level 1.
cahrls the great is quite possible everything that is wrong with link 1s summarized in 1 card. it just says we need it to be better we are not interestet to invet actual new cards so lets make a link 1 that literally just erratas the effect of another card without making a real errata
I can't disagree more with your opinion. Card design like Charles is amazing because it gives an "errata" to an existing card, updating an older boss for current standards while not being "cheap" all-in-one generic problem solver. That way you can build even more on top of your older strategy without completely replacing it with the new cards, even avoiding the generic boss end board. For example look at the myriad of Link 1s that are: one generic material of that type + on summon add field spell + extender for their archetype
Yeah. I ended up pulling all infernoble on accident while looking for Volcanics I think? The link 1 confused the hell out of me. Like why does this exist?
What? The most problematic Link-1s are all searchers or free extenders. Emperor Charles is one of, if not *the* most interesting Link 1 in the entire game due to the fact that it's nothing like any other Link 1 before it.
@skeletonwar4445 I'm just annoyed with it because it feels like an errata to me. It feels like a quick fix because they didn't make synchro Charles strong enough so they tack on a spell/trap negate and call it good instead of making a new monster that could do that.
@@babrad my problem is just it fells like they don't even try. like they made a boss that literally changes nothing in the deck and in the end you just slap it on top because its a link 1 and therefore free to make. that is no different from a link 1 that doesn't change anything in the deck and just gets slapped on top a normal summon to errata that deck to do something. it is simply uninspired card design that ignores any problem the deck might have and just tells people i'm sorry here is the thing we know exists but couldn't be bothered to find a decent fix so we will exchange your copies of the card with another that works better
