I remember making jewelry in the 70's out of semi precious stones.Good job I did it then as I can't do it now thanks to the old arthritis(noticed in the comments a fair few of us seem to suffer the same). Loved watching you crafting Becky.Gentle Hugs.
Hi Becky I know you are new to jewellery making. But I got a few tips and advice for you., for your thread if rub a tiny amount of glue or nail varnish to end and leave it dry for a few mins it stop it tread fraying. Also where possible but a small bead either a spacer bead or seed bead in between the gemstones or any large glass beads to stop them rubbing together and scracthing each other also it will add my more fluidity to bracelet. You can also put a tiny drop of nail varnish at the end to seal the knot, it is better than glue as the glue can cause brittleness.. Never pull connectors and findings apart, you need to turn the opposite directions as pulling them apart like you did will weaken them and you won't get a full strenght closure of the clasp. X
That's great thank you for the tips, The connectors came already open which I thought was strange. Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated thank you 👍 x
I love this Becky and love the rose one you made. They will make lovely gifts. Could also make keyrings and handbag charms with them. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing more jewellery making videos xxx
Wow this was so relaxing to watch / listen to, I could have listened to you talking about and making these for hours whilst I'm doing my work on the PC. It turn out so beautiful as well and the packaging makes it look so professional.
The green one is fake malachite. Some of them look geniune, but that one is not and is often faked. I know this video is old, but I thought I'd drop.this comment here for you. Your bracelets are pretty.
These are lively bracelets Becky, and they are packaged so beautifully! I found this to be such a relaxing video to watch and listen to. Love the music in the background. Who is musical artist? I believe your online sales will be a great hit! Wishing you the very best! 💕📿🛍💕
@@Beckyscraftsandgoodies Oh Thank you Becky! Just ordered 2 of their CDs. I love calming music when getting in the creative mood. Jewelry making can be so fun...so many options and the styles are endless. Can't wait to see more of your lovely creations! 💕📿🛍💕
You know sooo much about chakra points, the crystals, their names!!! So clever.I just LOVE Phoebe's one too. I agree with Bexyboo88, that it was also very relaxing. You could even put an ASMR tag on these videos. Thanks again 4 another fab vid (excited hands out emoji and a couple of thumbs too loool) xxx
i carefully run a lighter over the end of the elastic to stop it fraying. If you let it cool a sec and pinch it or roll it between your fingers, you can form the slightly melted elastic into a point so it's easier to thread beads. x
Love your videos, I really wanna try this now! Also, I find the easiest indestructable knot is to pinch both ends of elastic together at the top and keeping them together, tie them into a knot as one piece. Not like shoes laces where you tie one piece to the other, but like how you tie a knot in sewing thread. Pull it tight and then try to pull it open a bit to secure the knot and trim the excess. You can carefully run a lighter over the trimmed ends and pinch them into a ball of you wanna be extra lol. I had many beaded bracelets open up and go everywhere in the past! x
They’re lovely Becky, I’ve tried jewellery making but my hands are not so good now and I found it a bit of a struggle. I do make things like stick pins on a good day when I’m not in pain, they’re easy to make and look really lovely on a nice pin cushion made from a teacup or fancy container. Xx
Hi Becky . I am trying to find a small child’s anxiety, stress bracelet without any success I have checked amazon , eBay . No luck at all . So do you know what type of gemstones I would need and I could possibly try making one for her myself. You have inspired me. Love yours . Thanks.
Rose quartz is a good stone for calming, tigers eye for self confidence, blue stones like blue lace agate can help with helping people say what they need to. dark stones help with grounding. maybe kids bracelets is something i could look into making. i have some stone sets that will be available on Etsy soon.
Hi Becky! I make similar jewellery myself and enjoy them! Just to let you know that they have put the wrong name for the green striped stone, they put Aventurine as the stone, when in fact it is synthetic MALACHITE! (As malachite is very expensive, so synthetics are usually sold/given). I know as i have lots of semi precious stones myself and have been a lover of crystals for over 20years. Best wishes to you! Anna UK. 👍❤️
So very pretty Becky, oh I love them and I definitely think you'll do well selling along with all the other crafty bits you do. Great gift ideas also. Earrings, necklaces, keyring, hairslides etc...There's so much to do!! Absolutely lovely, love and hugs 💖
Very nice Becky, beading can be so relaxing! You mentioned about individuals not wanting to share recipes, craft tips etc., that is the main complaint I have with Pinterest. Most of the time a person can find the details for a craft if they search deep enough, but there have been times I've peeled back layers, only to be disappointed that the individual never includes steps for making the item. Most crafters can get the general idea from viewing the photo, but for those less experienced, a bloody waste of time, leading to frustration!
They are lovely and so relaxing to watch I have often wondered how to do them I'm have problems with my fingers so I may struggle a bit thank you Becky xx
Before you start making your bracelet with the cord put a small dab of glue on the end and as it dries roll it in your finger to make a slight point and it will go through the beads much better.
Wow!! Beautiful bracelets and the packaging looks amazing! My mom used to make jewellery and she still has her kit I might go and have a rummage lol 😆 I have had the worst day and this video has chilled me out! Thanks lovely lady xxxx
