Yummmm. Where's my plate?! That mac and cheese deserves to be in a magazine. We had French onion chicken over mashed potatoes with green beans and sliced tomato tonight.
I know this might sound crazy, but watching you cook, for me, is like an artist watching Bob Ross! Your voice is so calming and soothing and you talk through each step in such detail. I love watching you cook Heather! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my sweet RU-vid friend!! I love the plate of food you chose for your summer holidays and church fun!! I'm planning to make that Mac and Cheese for sure!! 💖 Blessings
❤Once Again Heather You have out done Yourself. Happy Independence Day and Enjoy Your Family and I will bet They will Enjoy Whatever Your Serving for the Holidays! ❤God Bless and Thanks For Sharing with Us here..❤
Made this for my family to celebrate my daughter’s 22nd bday and it was THE BEST MAC N CHEESE EVER!!! I did everything you said and added the seven slices of American and it was supreme. Thank you so much. This is our new go to recipe.❤❤❤
*Mrs. Dash in the yellow bottle works PERFECT to add to recipes like this!! This is how I make sauces like this too!! I do NOT measure anything!! I am in my 60s and have been making these sauces for decades now. Once you know how to make a decent rue you can make so MANY other things using this same idea. I make my sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy pretty much the same way, minus the cheese 🧀 and nutmeg and by adding sage, thyme and rosemary.*
@TheKneadyHomesteader *It does stop the flow!! I have always cooked without measuring. Once you have done it for several years, you no longer require measurements!!!* 🤣🤣
Heather it's 2:30 in the morning and now I want to get up and make mac and cheese! Girl, you are tempting me!! Looks amazing, thanks for another great recipe! 🤗
This looks amazing! I make a fabulous Mac n cheese myself but will add some things you put in that I don’t, and since I live in an apartment will try it on my stovetop smoker. Thanks so much for letting us see how inside the pot should look every step of the way!
Well that looks DELISH. Great recipe. Even without a smoker!! And I chuckled when you said the kids say, "mom, that's the best you've ever made", because when I make my homemade italian sauce on Sunday's they say " Mom, thats the best sauce in the history of your Sunday sauce.😂😂😂 I sure do love it. 😉😉😉. Hope you had a scrumptious evening. And a great Fourth of July 🎉🎉
Oh my gosh jeepers. Well I do not have a smoker however this is my going to do asap in the oven. I want that right now. This just takes mac and cheese to the next level. You taught me some tricks and I will be watching again taking notes. YUMMMMM. And I totally agree too (the kid in me still) there is nothing better than mac and cheese :) Hugs xo
That looks like perfection in a pan!!! Definitely speaking my love language but my husband does not like mac n cheese at all!!! Thankfully, for his sake, he has enough good qualities to make up for such ludicrous thinking!!!😂 BTW, I could listen to you stir that cheese sauce for a long time!! Kinda squishy squishy!😊
✨️Oh man... wish I could eat me some of that! I had a medically induced gastroparesis kick in in Feb... so my meals mainly consist of fluids now... I miss sinking my teeth into real food - which I know you understand after this past year's dental battle! 💝 Thnx for sharing. Now we just wish we could have a smell button! 😃 God bless you & yours 🙏
That looks so yummy! I’ve never made Mac n cheese except boxed 😢I’m going to try to make it this week! I don’t have a smoker, can I put it in my oven? Thank you so much for sharing Heather!
I swear I had made one, but I have not! So now, I need to make one! But ll you do is take a pound of burger.... brown it like you were making taco meat. I grind mine down with a potato or meat masher to make it fine crumble. Then, you are going to add ONE envelope of Onion soup mix. If you are making 1 1/2lbs or 2lbs of burger like I do, use two packets. I use the Aldi brand of dry onion soup mix. It's cheaper. haha Sprinkle that in, and add about a cup of water. stir. Place a lid on your pan and set it to low. Let that meat steam for 15 minutes.....and until all the liquid is gone. It is how loose hamburgers at National Coney Island are made. I found their secret recipe in a forum many many years ago! hahaha I promise to make a video!
yeah, my kiddos were like that too when they were younger. You could definitely keep this simply. Mild cheddar and some American or velvetta. some salt. they may not like it smoked, you can bake it in the oven. 350 for an hour. :)
Hi Heather, question, I have noticed how clean and perfect your eggs look. I have been seeing and reading that you should not clean them. Now, I'm sorry, but to open a carton of fresh eggs and there is still dirt and pooh on them, I cannot Crack them and eat!!! Yuck, yuck, and yuck!!!! If there is truth to this please let me know. I have been given some that were frozen, in the shell and still nasty looking. I could not do anything with them!!! May just be me but I would like to know because I have a feeling that they will give me more and I'm sure they have not changed anything!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
I wash my eggs, otherwise leaving them dirty and at room temperature makes the SMELL!!!!! It may be fine for others, and I am not knocking anyone who leaves their eggs unwashed, but I do not have the space to house hundreds of eggs in my house. They get washed with an organic cleaner, then packaged in cartons, and placed in a blue fridge specifically bought just for my eggs. Leaving them unwashed only makes them last a month longer. These eggs are already good for months! I dont need them to last any longer than that. I sell my surplus, to help cover feed costs, and the people I sell to do NOT want dirty eggs. Not all eggs are dirty, and thats fine too, but I get 3 dozen a day. On average. Maybe if I was getting 4-6 a day I would feel differently? hahaha I say wash, refrigerate and enjoy! I dont enjoy washing eggs right before I crack them. The ick factor is big for me. hahaha
