The alphabetical notation in the video is not a phonetic symbol, but just a guide. (I use the Hepburn alphabet.)
In songs, intonation are often adapted to fit the music. So, this song is primarily for memorizing purposes. Please look up specific usage and pronunciation on your own.
In the song that counts shoes and socks using the term '〜 足,' 3足 are sung as 'さんそく.' However, I look up well, 'さんぞく' is considered the correct. It may vary by generation or region, but I found 'さんそく' for 3足 (at least in my surroundings and my daily life) to sound more natural. So in the video, I use
There are others like this one. Such as those that have a reading that is considered correct, but over time the reading has changed and few people use it in real life. I personally believe that language changes over time, so it is difficult to draw a line between what is correct and what is wrong, isn't it?😹

Hello! This is Naoko. 🌼
Thank you for watching the video, and a big thanks to all of you who have subscribed to my channel!!🌻
Today's video is a bit special. I did something I've never done before in my life. haha
Of course, I'm not a professional singer, so let's refrain from commenting on my singing abilities. lol😹😹
Personally, when I need to remember something, I like to turn it into a song because it's easy to remember that way. So, I created this song for this occasion. (I came up with the lyrics, and my family helped turn it into a song. 😊)
I hope this song comes in handy for those of you who, like me, enjoy using songs to help memorize things. 🎶
🎶🎷🥁 Naoko feat. my family 😹🎶

One of the most helpful videos ever. I wish I could have hit the "like button" 100 times. Finally a language learning song of basic Japanese that is for adults. The cool beats are so much better than listening to children's song (especially if you happen to be someone - like me - who finds children's song mind numbing.) I truly hope this series continues.

I have been learning Japanese for 4 month around and Naoko Sensei's video is the BEST. It is very beginner-friendly and very very helpful. Within only a few months, I am confident to talk in simple Japanese. Naoko sensei's videos has fairly slow speaking speed and clear pronounciation for every single words and it is perfect to SHADOW READING. At the same time, Naoko seisen brings me plenty of Japanese culture as well.

Loved everything, the creativity, your voice is lovely... You are sooo talented. And so happy to see this was only two weeks ago. So, I'm looking forward to more videos. If you want more ideas for topics, how about 1. pets (adopting/owning/vets/playing with/ cuddling) 2. movies (favorite movie, genre comedy/drama/horror, where do you watch movies, eating while watching and what like chocolate and popcorn is different in Japan than America. 3. Anime - genre like many about going into a game or a book to live there, or highschool, or life. Some of my favorites are Fruit Basket, Kotaro Lives Alone, Non Non Byori, Rilakkuma and Kaoru. I have a whole list of anime. In Itoshima where we live, we watch anime on wostream. we bought a subscription. they have all the anime we ever watched and with english subtitles.
