Let's Misbehave was composed by Cole Porter in 1927 for PARIS (his 1st major production). Let's Misbehave wasn't used for PARIS very long, but does re-appear in ANYTHING GOES (revival in 1962). I've been a hhhugee Cole Porter fan for a lllloooonngg time.... Let's Misbehave, while about sex, wasn't written by Cole Porter "becuase he's gay." Why should any of us worry about Porter's sexual orientation? HE HAD A GIFT FROM GOD & COMPOSED FABULOUS MUSIC!
I thought I was the only one! Hahah, I heard Nick say in an interview he was singing 'Let's Misbehave' by Elvis Costello, and I was like "That sounds...." Hahah, Nick J FTW.
First time I heard this was in Steve Martin's brilliant film Pennies From Heaven. Not Mr. Costello of course. Since then I've bought a lot of Porter's music. Check out the film Delovely.
