They are FOR profit. People often misclassify them as a non-profit; but they charge you sales you tax. A real non-profit, such as Salvation Army, doesn't charge sales tax.
The individual pieces they put out is also expensive. Salvation Army is only one dollar per piece. But they never have much to choose from. The lady told me a customer comes and buys most of it and makes her own creations and sells them on eBay an other sites.
Hi. I am old and when I was a child, a lady at my church gave me this tip for untangling jewelry chains. She said to use a needle point and do t pull them taunt. It really works. You can also use it to assist in getting knots out of string or ropes.
In the beginning batch there was a jointed bird like necklace (7:40) and I thought it looked like an owl without a head. The second batch there was an owl head (22:08) and I think they go together.
I thought the same thing! When I saw the wings I thought, “That looks like an owl missing its head!” Then I spotted the owl head as soon as she spread out the second half!

I loved the heart-with-green-stones pendant from the first tangled bunch of chains. I think the owl head might be the top of that necklace with wings and tail, because I have similar and that one looked headless.

I go to a lot of Goodwill's and I never see jewelry jars. I have found that Goodwill is getting so expensive. Thrifting is not fun anymore when you have to pay department store prices. I so enjoy these videos. 😊💖
You may find it a good idea to buy like say 100 small baggies to put each item in...Once you have shown them.They have a press lock across each bag there are many sizes like 2 inches by 4inches.I think they only cost 100 bags for $2.Thats what I do with a lot of things, and it really keeps them safe and in one pce. :)

Those vintage watches are beautiful. My son bought his 21 year old son an Apple Watch. He’d never wear it. He told me he wanted an old watch with a stretch wristband. I bought him a $40 Timex. He wears it every day.
I notice you have a little book locket. That locket looks really old like it's around the Victorian era. That necklace that has little bit of brown stones on it, it looks like it's from the 1920s, but I could be wrong. Also, you have a hart charm with a little design on it, that looks Victorian. Those three rings with the stones on them that you put on your finger, one with emerald stones, the other with sapphire stones, and the other diamonds? they look really nice. I wonder if the stones are real? They are pretty rings. The pin that is a golf bag with golf clubs looks like a very nice pin. Also, I see pieces that look like they are from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. A lot of other pieces look like they are little newer. Hey! The ring you are wearing is beautiful! It looks good on your hand! I just subscribed to your channel! Its a lot of fun to see what treasures you find!
We lost all our goodwills after Covid I bought so many jewelry jars from them, eventually I got bored of them and gave them away, if I knew how much I could have sold them for I would have kept them, but I managed to save a few pi I liked.
