"As in the Ti-Road Break-Away, the titanium finish and bead-blasted logos hold up exceptionally well to the rigors of packing and travel. The custom drawn, lightweight, mitered 3/2.5 tubing provides a smooth forgiving ride, but responds immediately when you power up. The 44mm rake, straight blade full carbon fork is WCS level, so it is light, stiff, and soaks up vibration. The bridgeless chainstays offer increased rear tire clearance, and rear rack eyelets demonstrate that Ritchey knew the market when the frame was developed."
"Geometry wise, the Break-Away Ti Cross is closer to the traditional Swiss Cross design with a very slight top-tube slope. The geometry was designed to be stable on and off pavement, but with closer to a true cross bottom bracket clearance."

I have an S&S coupled bike. One tip is to zip tie the parts together after you pack. This keeps the TSA from screwing it up. Anyone have other tips?

A little bit of faffing around, but this travelling case would give me the peace of mind during air transit, knowing that the bike is safe.

I can happily report the bike landed safely in Helsinki after two transfers within the US of A. Hope to post a shakedown ride video from Finland shortly!

Wow! You break yours down quite a bit more than I do. I use the Ritchey case which is probably bigger than the S&S case.

I ditched the Ritchey case years ago. S&S is very resilient, recommended!

I get wanting to take your own bike, especially if you don’t t mind the extra work as a trade off and you have that much invested in your bike.

Me, owner of a Outback Carbon is looking for an alternative case. Which model are you using in this vid? ...and congrats to this stunning beauty. I love my carbon but this is top end.

Many thanks! A shame Ritchey no longer produce a Ti Breakaway CX bike of any kind. The case I use - www.sandsmachine.com/ac_hard.htm - the 10" Edge Pull (Black), measures 26" x 26" x 10". I pack my handlebar separately into my suitcase, but you can make it fit with some effort. Far superior to the Ritchey case, I no longer have to worry about wheels being knocked out of true in transit, and so on. It isn't cheap, but it's well worth the cash.

Can you tell me where I could get the correct size clamp bolt in ti or if you know the specs on bolt. Mine are all rusty!

Nice videos. I'm interested in getting into gravel riding. At the moment I'm riding a 2022 Trek Marlin 5, size medium to ride gravel. I have a budget. I would like to know, this maybe unrealistic, if there are any good ones under $2K. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
