That doesn’t sound strange at all. Art is great for relieving anxiety. It allows you to “escape” for a while.

We have to agree with Jeannie. It does not sound strange at all, art has a magical way of helping bring relief. The hardest part is giving permission to yourself to enjoy it on a regular basis.

The other day I was watching a class on Skillshare and my husband came in the room and said wait what happened to the other people you usually have going? They are so cool to listen to. Lots and lots of practice. This is not the first time painting this particular project. By the time Sarah records her tutorials she has painted each project at least 3 times.

Love the video on doin the snow globe. I'm one of those who likes remarks on painting without the banter back n forth. Some dont mind it. I find it distracts me from the task at hand. I tolerate it because you are good teacher. Getting the shiny part of glass is not easy. Thank you for helping us learn.

I tape down to a piece of linoleum. Its waterproof and u can turn it.

If I don’t have grey watercolor paint will a watered down black work?

Yes, although to get a Paynes Grey you would want to add some blue into it.

You could use a different blue. Azure Blue or Tahoe Blue would be beautiful in this project.

I don't understand about using salt. Do you sprinkle some on the paper? After or before you add paint? Mix it into the paint? Maybe it is explained later in the video, but not at the time it is mentioned.

When you sprinkle the sea salt on the wet paint it absorbs some of the color. You can tell by the way the salt would have been blue in this painting. Fun fact- pouring salt 🧂. I used regular salt- will draw up red wine that’s been spilled in carpet. Fabric. As long as it’s still wet.
