Because if that is the case then you might want to watch it again. He *clearly* said to go to front left (room 2 to the others, and the correct room) while Ryan inexplicably started yelling room 1 (back left) and got everyone killed.

I'm pretty sure that before that happened Jack tried to explain that the front of the room is where the boss is, but at that point Ryan decided that he didn't want to listen to anything Jack said and just started calling him an idiot (Ryan gets pretty salty like that when things start going wrong). And while normally I would agree with Ryan that numbering the doors would be the easiest way, this is AH we're talking about. That is just too complicated for some of those guys. This is demonstrated at 40:19 when Geoff tries to tell Jack the door numbers, and gets doors 3 and 4 backwards. It's just too much for them to handle. Also I should correct myself. I said that Ryan got everyone killed, but it was actually Michael who started shouting Room 1, probably without any understanding that the rooms have to be lit to be used. He does like to focus more on killing than listening to instructions after all.

The two people that weren't confused with the idea of front, back,left, and right were probably Jack and Jeremy lmao. I mean, Ryan was so confused with the idea that he had to number them. Like why?

Although I do agree "Back left, Front Left" etc. isn't hard to follow, and they should have realised the room wasn't lit up, they did number them all and Jack was the only one against it.

Because you usually enter a room through its front. The back of the room is the wall that's further away from the entrance, usually. That's why "front" and "back" are super bad descriptors in a situation like this.

There's no point arguing since it's all just a matter of perspective, but in my head, what you said is true for say a house... Or a building you're familiar with... But in a video game boss battle room, the characters enter through and the boss is in front of them. The boss doesn't move from that spot, so the characters are always facing towards the front. :P

Well the concept of front and back really seemed to confuse Gavin and Ryan for some reason, so numbers are obviously a stretch too far as well, since they kept saying 1 when it was room 2 lit up. Front and back left and right is easier than a number scheme because it's less abstract and confusing in a fight, and tells you exactly where to go if you have the remotest sense of what the room looks like.

If top left, top right, left and right are too confusing for people, then I am so sorry for them.

if you're asking about AA batteries it's because their charge drops tremendously each time they die. it's not worth the money

4 rechargeable batteries will last you a good 2 years. Still using mine from 2014 and I game heavily. I'd say thats definitely worth it.

LFG groups are very much like this at times.

I know it's so fucking stupid coming from a usually smart person. He even knew left was where he placed room 1 and 2, and right was where he placed room 3 and 4. If right and left are placed on where you are facing after you wipe then the front of the room is AHEAD OF YOU where the boss is and the back of the room is BEHIND YOU. Ryan should have understood upon hearing anyone say that the boss is where the front of the room is considering at any given time you are usually facing the boss. It's so easy to understand that literally every raid group uses the term back to mean as far away from the boss as possible. In front of the boss would mean IN FUCKING FRONT OF HIM RYAN. People say "Popping bubble in the back" that means far away from the boss, not at his feat. The idiots on LFG even understand this terminology. Even when doing Golgoroth where the boss is technically in the middle of the room left side is relative to where your back is when you enter the room just like the right side. Which means that the back of the room is the doorway where you entered. It's actually a concept so simple 6 year olds can grasp it.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, it makes sense. If someone's talking, you want to see what they're talking about. That came across as condescending. Shit.
