This week, Atreus meets a new pal and also gets some bad news but don't worry about that THERE'S A MASSIVE COW IN THIS EPISODE / johnnychiodini instagram: sheetbike
Angrboda's call for Jalla is actually the traditional Norwegian way to call the cows home to stable or milking, and is still used in some places today. It can also be used as a sort of communication over great distances in valleys, like the whistling language in the Canary Islands. It sounds REALLY cool, and is sometimes shown at the Outdoor Cultural History Museum at Bygdøy outside Oslo.😉 Sounds really lovely during the performance.
Atreus' horrible teen phase really was dreadful for everyone involved, but i feel like being confronted with every single instance one said "whatever" with a shit attitude is just cruel and unusual punishment 😂 On the plus side, our new pal is so cool!! I love her.
It's so in-character for Kratos to go fiddle with axe upgrades while Tyr is having a Serious Conversation with Atreus about how he isn't pure good, nor is Odin pure evil, and it's dangerous to oversimplify.
I understand why, but it is a shame Johnny cannot do the side content in this game. They are probably the best stories in the game and really contextualize the ending. Still, it's the different between a 25 hour game and a 60 hour game
When riding the Yak I have to say they really gave the actors in mocap or the animators for Atreus and Angrbodr different instructions 😂 she’s bouncing like she’s on a pogo stick and he’s just smooth sailing. It drives me as a professional horse rider insane like seriously I can’t see past it 😂
Loved the video and your approach to this game. Johnny streams are the best streams! Forgive me for this bit of narcissism, but I feel I need to mention that The "Games Are Back" shirt you're wearing is inspiring to me. Two months ago, I bought one in 2XL, but it didn't fit (at the time I was 3XL). I was incentivized to lose weight so it would fit (ok, there were other reasons, too, but this was a big one). Flash forward to today and it fits very well. I've fixed my diet and exercise a lot more. My hope is that a few months down the road that shirt will be baggy on me and I'll need to buy a new one that is XL or even smaller. I guess the point is that you can inspire in many ways, Johnny Chiodini, even small and unexpected ones.
the way the friend fights is beautiful. it's like they are using powder paint and considering the environment is mostly brown it acts as another subtle way to reinforce their vibrant personality in a bit of a dreary/depressing place. (anonymised who i'm on about to avoid spoilers for those not watching through patreon)
