Watching this again, it still baffles me to the point of anger thinking that Ego is actually a good villain. Makes me want to explain it over and over again. I'm fine with if someone legitimately disagrees, but I don't see an argument behind saying Ego is good next to other villains who have done the same things. I don't get what Ego brings to the table other than being Peter's father. Even then Ultron was Tony's son basically and they both had the same plan.

i mean it still counts for points. It just doesnt reveal the faker to everyone and thus eliminate someone from possibility which would happen every round if it was just majority reveal. in my mind majority reveal would almost make it too easy to find the faker especially in even smaller groups as this can be played with as few as three people when even with this many people they still had it narrowed down to one or two pretty fast. It would be very heavily weighted towards the majority and nearly impossible for fakers to last all three round. Not to mention that unanimous voting allows the faker the opportunity to split the group apart and throw a wrench in the voting if even one person sides with them and lets them hide for one more round worth of points. You still get the points for picking the right one individually so if your convinced its that person just keep voting for them while trying to sway the group and you'll get points at the end of that round for being right all three times plus the faker would get points for not being caught by the group.

Majority in this term meaning 4 people. As in the majority of the group. Not all 5 opposing one player.

Whereas you're completely right Lurus, something STILL feels the tiniest bit off about it. I guess I don't know the exact points breakdown though, so perhaps I should study that. If A knows it's B the entire time, but no one else, should A get more points than B for evading suspicion? Same amount? Less? I'm not sure myself. I guess part of A's job is to convince the others that B is bad, so in a way, it works, but often times it just turns into "we HAVE to vote together" vs people actually voting who they think, which SHOULD be the case, at least I think so. In end, I agree, unanimous is better than majority.

A technique to play the game is, even if you know who the faker is and are 100% sure, DON'T tell anybody else and vote for the faker by yourself all three rounds. You cash in on the points for guessing them right every single round, whereas everybody else gets no points for voting for whoever they think is the faker. The ideal technique to this game is to, if you know who the faker is, vote for them BY YOURSELF for 2 rounds, and then the 3rd round, tell everyone and get the majority vote for the 3rd round (so that the faker doesn't get the points for getting away, leaving you the winner)

It only has to be unanimous to catch the faker and end the round early. You get points every time you vote for the right person. You're playing for points, it's not a team effort to vote unanimously

They don't count the vote of the faker, so yes, it is unanimous.

+eeDee problem with that, is that the faker gets more points if he isn't caught. It also doesn't tell you if you picked the right person. In other words, you're screwing over the team, and potentially getting no points. The way they play is flawed, but succeeds in catching the faker, and denying them points.

No they played it right. Faker passing round points are worth more collectively than right guessing points. And without the unanimous vote for the assumed faker, there will be no feedback on whether you are right/wrong. So you likely will just be giving the faker more points as you guess wrongly.
