For those of you playing the gauntlet, there is one move that absolutely is better than jump helmet and green shell for Dark Star X. USE SNACK BASKET you can wipe them both out in one turn that way

To clarify the Globin who runs the gauntlet has shape shifting properties hence he is able to transform into the various bosses you already fought. It would make sense he would turn into Bowser for the final form considering the Globins live in Bowser.

If Bowser stomps on you during the Giant Bowser attack, it's an instant-kill. Same with the Dark Star Core's attack where he tries to eat you.

For the people that say that Bowser X is Bowsers soul, well your wrong because if you talk to the Emoglobin outside he says that these boss battles were created through Mario & Luigi's Memories

Bowser X took me 27 tries!! He's wasted my battery (bowsers inside story), broken my Gba screen (superstar saga), and gave me 3 freackin impossible challenges (partners in time, bowsers inside story, dream team)!!! I can't put up with this s**t anymore!

STAR CANDY! Let Mario eat the star candy! What're you doing? 1st, 0, 2nd time Mario passes out, he STILL has one hundred sixty-three HP.

Bowser X has 144 speed. My strategy surrounding the use of the 1-Up Mushrooms is similar, with the only difference being that I grinded until Mario's speed is greater than Bowser X's, so I ended up doing Class 7 at LV 45. As for gear, Mario has the same exact equipment: Master Wear, DX POW Gloves, and the Tight Belt. Luigi's equipment on the other hand is different: A-OK Wear, DX POW Gloves, and Rugged Socks. For those who want to know where to obtain all this gear, the Master Wear is your reward for getting A Rank in every Cholesteroad Challenge. The A-OK Wear and the Tight Belt can be bought at the Star Shop in Toad Town. The A-OK Wear is also a rare item drop from Dark Mechawful Heads, but the chances are so rare, you're better off just buying one. The Star Shop also has DX POW Gloves, but there are two free copies hidden in blocks. There is one in a secret spot at the Clinic and another in a block at Peach's Castle. The Rugged Socks are in a block in the Airway, and it gives 20% extra defense and let me tell you, the build I gave to Luigi makes him a TANK. By having Mario's speed be greater than Bowser X's, the turn order during the battle goes as follows: Mario, Bowser X, Luigi I should also mention that the A-OK Wear not only increases all of Luigi's stats, but it also makes him immune to all status ailments. By having Mario go before the boss and having Luigi be immune to status ailments, if Mario goes down, Luigi revives him with a 1-Up, and the turn order goes back to Mario. Plus, there is no risk of having Luigi get dizzy or burned which could potentially prevent him from healing Mario. As you can guess by now, if Luigi goes down, his turn gets skipped, so he doesn't get his turn back if Mario has to revive him as it'll be Bowser X's turn afterwards. For my badge setup, I used the Excellent! Badge, NOT the Excellent!! Badge, the one with 2 ! marks. I really did not want to risk failing to get an excellent right before getting in a situation where I need to use the healing from the Mushroom Badge, so I went with the effect that restores the half of the Bros.' HP rather than the full heal. Either way, status ailments are also cured, so in the best-case scenario, I may have the meter ready if Mario gets a status ailment and it's Luigi's turn. Therefore, I can use the effect to cure Mario. Since the A-OK Wear prevents status ailments for Luigi, Luigi will never be inflicted with one. Without this protection, his turn will be skipped if Bowser X makes him dizzy or burned. Apparently, Mighty Meteor doesn't give any refreshing herbs and Class 7 doesn't provide any, so it's good to use the Mushroom Badge just in case of dizziness or burning. The most important fact about my setup and strategy is that I can't have Luigi go down. He may be immune to status ailments, but should he get hit way too many times, his HP will drop to 0. Even with all that defense, I can't be reckless with him. To LuckySevenDX or anybody else reading this comment, I hope you found this to be interesting.

Except unlike the other gauntlet bosses he has new attacks, so he's technically different imo.

I heard on a message board that if Bowser does not get the Shy Guy Squad attack when you play as him, then he won't be able to use that attack when you are fighting him.

I love how a lot of Mario games have hidden bosses that are more powerful than the final boss of the game, like Bowser X in this game and Bonetail in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Keep in mind that in the Gauntlet it takes the bro's memories and uses them to create more powerful foes, so while Bowser X is inside Bowser, he is only a creation of the Gauntlet which is why there is no Time Paradoxes and etc.

Kinda funny that it recommends level 50 for class 7, but I beat it with level 44, granted it was pretty hard & by the end I only had like 8 turns to spare, but I did it. I was wearing the A-OK Wear, DX Pow Boots, & the Gumption Socks for both bros. I didn't even spam the Mighty Meteor. He couldn't one-shot any of my characters when they were at full, but he could drain quite a lot of HP from 'em to where I think he could 2 or 3-shot me with certain attacks.

While fighting Dark Star X, you can use Snack Basket to kill both Dark Spiders at once. This timesaver helped me beat the DSX.

tip for bowser x: use your strong special attacks first that way u get them back sooner

i just thought of what would be funny. i think it'd be funny if u used the super bouncer on bowser, he went into his shell, the super bouncer popped and luigi flew around the screen as air blew out of the super bouncer.

Well, I don't think you can really beat you know who, since you know who has a spell that can instantly kill you, and he also has his soul split into many parts.

To be honest, I think the recommended level of 50 was an exaggeration, since anywhere around 40 - 45 is good.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team MUST have the Boss Gauntlet again. And also some of the Specil attacks, like the Star and the meteor (I don't remember the true name, but... com'n...)
