Let's Play Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time Part 40: A Princess Defeated, A Princess Saved

In this episode, Mario, Luigi, and babies find Princess Peach. However, before they can figure out how to rescue her from the Shroob's prison, Princess Shroob attacks with her mothership, trying to destroy them all. Thus, Mario and Luigi take to the skies once more to try and take down the Shroob mothership. Afterwards, the bros try to escape, but Princess Shroob appears, now trying to stop them in person. Will the bros defeat the tyrant once and for all? And when the Cobalt Star appears and completes itself, what mystery shall be revealed? Find out now!

I love that plot twist at the end!! But one thing that I figured out: if Peach's castle is safe in the present then that automatically means that you did beat the Shroobs in the past. So you know that castle is safe from the beginning of the game. Although I love the plot and the time travelling of this game, it's kind of weird and "sketchy".

You know what I noticed? Whenever I do trampolines, and whenever anyone else does trampolines, ( including lucky seven dx ) you should realize that either Mario or Luigi starts it off.

Not only that, but Luigi didn't seem to frightened when Princess Shroob's castle got attacked. That's rare for Luigi.

I know this project is long since been finished but thought I'd throw this out there for those playing along. She isn't immune to stat debuffing but you gotta get pretty lucky for even one to stick as she is HIGHLY resistant. Oddly enough I think the older Princess Shroob has no resistance to it, I'd have to test that but I'm pretty sure they work fine on her.

WOW. Princess Shroob can take BOOT TO THE HEAD and still keep going. Anyone else would be be pureed by boots by the second deactivation of the shield. And all the hits too. I wonder, how many boots to the head did she take???

Compare that to Twinrova. In Ocarina of Time, they claim they're twins, but Koume says that she is 400 years old and Kotake is 380. That's probably a twin paradox anyway, since Koume manipulates fire and Kotake ice, and apparently a higher temperature ages you, or at least a Gerudo like them, quicker?

I think Peach's mistake was pulling out the 6th shard to show Mario. She could have just told him, rather than showing him.

I think Nintendo forgot that they made them twins, because they wrote the dialogues seperately, so towards the end of cutscene development they said "elder", forgetting that the two sisters were twins.

@akihearte Its technically possible to be both. After all, one is usually born a little sooner than the other, so there's still "older and younger" even though they are still twin sisters. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it could work.

It was stated at the beginning of the game that it powered the time machine, any other use has not been revealed/stated. as to why they are intimidated by it, as you have probably seen his next episode, it contained the Elder Shroob Princess
