+falcon5008 Actually, both of you are wrong. The final game will not be in first-person, eventhough they haven't confirmed if the perspective will be fixed like RE 1-3, or third-person like RE 4-6. This demo will also not be related to the actual game in anyway. The story of this demo is not related to Resident Evil 7 at all. This isn't a prequel or backstory or anything. There is a way of solving the story of the demo, but no one has figured it out yet. The puzzle to solve the story of the demo is ridiculously difficult and hidden.

Yeah I'm with you, I never understood how other RE games were considered scary. They were incredibly corny, with weird camera angles and awkward combat. This, though, seems interesting. I really love the atmosphere this demo is bringing.

Capcom has stated that this has nothing to do with RE and will not be in the game. It is purely to show the style in which the game is going to be in when it comes out: first person, slow, and puzzle bassed. if anything, it's the closset we have been to the orginal in a long time.

Amnesia:The Dark Descent changed the genre, P.T was simply a very high quality attempt at what Amnesia brought to the world. Even Amnesia was far from the first game to do first person horror either, you can go back to the Amnesia creators previous series, Penumbra, or something old school like the original Doom, Blood, System Shock or Aliens vs. Predators. But it was Amnesia that popularized the defenseless, first person horror genre as it's known now. P.T was going to be something amazing, I'm not denying that. I was probably more disappointed than most people when it was cancelled (Kojima and Del Toro!) but it's far from a fresh idea. It's just an amazing take on an existing idea, that could have changed the genre if given the chance to flesh out to a full game. Just search for the teaser video they put out after the demo. It is incredibly disturbing and dynamic, it would have been absolutely mental to play if it was even 50% of that in the actual full game.

Em0SceneStabr they all appear at the video tape section of the game. You see a split second apparation before you go to the door, when you look behind from the hallway, the window by the sink, when you pass by the stairs someone is standing there and at the corner of that room with hanged dolls. So far those are the ones I saw on my second and third playthrough.
