Let's Play Return of the Obra Dinn - Late to the Party 

Johnny realising how good this game is is the best thing I've seen all week. I loved this game; it might actually be my answer to the old "What game do you wish you could forget, so you could experience it again for the first time?" question.

I opened this video thinking "oh it'll be fun watching Aoife play this!" Consider my expectations subverted.

1.) This game looks amazing and I need it now 2.) Watching the joy and amazement on Johnny's face while playing this is the most pure thing ever and it makes me so happy.

I would totally watch this as another Let’s Play, just to see Johnny’s and Aoife’s reaction.

Think this deserves a let’s play from start to finish!

20 minutes in and I'm off to buy this on steam, looks amazing and I can't wait to play it!

If you do a search for Obra Dinn soundtrack on here you’ll find a 3 minute video of a medley played on accordion which makes my life complete.

I don’t know why but I imagined that this late to the party would have been the other way around! I’ve always felt the plot to this would make a great DnD campaign.

The sense of accomplishment you get when playing Obra Dinn is just unparalleled. I know it's arguably a little bit early to get it on Late to the Party, but I'm so, so glad you decided to play it anyway.

I was never much into adventure style games growing up, but this game was a complete shock when I picked it up. Such an engaging experience, especially once it really gets weird. I'm glad Johnny can experience the true joy it looks like hes feeling!

I was missing this game but it hasn't been long enough for a replay, so this video was a perfect little treat!

As a Frisian it makes me soooooo happy to see johnny interested in our history and just in general boats. A fun story from the specific nautical history of the island collection i live on is that a certain brothel where the husbands on see would go to cheat on their wives would sell these little porcelain figurines that the sailors would buy to bring back to their wives as a present and once the wives received the figurines they would place them on their window sills of a window facing the street and either have the figurines face each other or face outside and use that as a sign for their misters that their husband is out on see (the figurines facing outside) or that he’s home (figurines facing each other) and use that a signal wether they could come in or not so also using it for cheating. To this day lots of old homes on these islands still have these figurines in their window sills as hand me downs and tell these stories to each other

Not that I wish to add to your busy workload but I would love for you to do a Let’s Play of this, I love the concept of a murder mystery and it looks like you are both having fun 🤞🏼👍🏼😁

Had heard of this but didn't know much about it. Now I have to stop half way through the video as I want to go off and experience as much of this first hand as I can. Love seeing a happy Johnny though discovering a new favourite game! :)

Just finished this game together with my girlfriend. She doesn't usually play video games, but loves quizzes and riddles. So I controlled the character and she wrote everything down and we solved it together. Brilliant fun! Thanks for showing us this game!

That's back to back LTTPs where Johnny has spent the entire thing like "Oh nom nom nom nom!" and had the chance to enjoy a brilliant game off screen, in his own time! Very happy for him!

I do so love this game, the art, sound and the story is so engrossing. This is the best indie game of 2018 and that all I can say, now GO BUY IT YOU SCURVY HAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is a fucking masterpiece. I 100% it in 7 hours and I just wish I could forget everything so I could play it again. Best detective game of all time, point blank period.

I spent way too long trying to figure out the tattooed guy from New Guinia, I had no idea about those tattoos :P How do people know about the tats?

Waited with watching this until I had played it myself. I understand why this did not become a series, but honestly, I'd given money to see Johnny's blind playthrough of this game. . . oh well, too late for that.

This game took me a solid month to get through but god I felt like Sherlock Holmes when I finished it

Unpopular opinion here, the game looks fun but IMO the art style is just horrible, it constantly gives me the same feeling a nightmare can give me
