Let's Play SSX 3 - All Three Peaks in one continuous run 

I wouldn't mind occasionally doing more Let's Plays on my channel to mix things up. What other games would you like to see me play?

SSX 3 was mindlessly addicting for me. Fast paced gameplay, broad customizable selection of characters, tons of collectibles and side missions, and that final unrealistic arcade feel to it just made it an insane blast to play through.

This was my favorite SSX. The atmosphere for its time was just unreal. And it had Thrice songs in it!

SSX3 was fucking great, but Tricky was definitely my game. I adored Tricky and it's still up there among my favorite games. I like my sports games to be like this... just barely resembling sports.

I have a special place in my heart for SSX tricky.

Look at'chu, doin' a Let's Play. I would've never thought of a snowboard game as open world, but it totally makes sense.

Usually i'm not into this Let's Play thing, but Metal Jesus made it very interesting by explaining a lot about the game and the whole franchise. I would like to see more Let's Plays of Metal Jesus' favourite games.

This is one of my fave games of all time too! It just has the perfect vibe. Good music, great level design, cool atmosphere, racing that can also just feel like chilling out and exploring, characters that are actually fun, and the flow is the best ever. It just keeps going, you're always snowboarding or stopping off at a snow lodge. Still feels good today! Cool play through, thanks!

Love it! Do more, or even a part 2 of this doing races etc. I like the personal story you told along with it, it added a whole other level to the let's play, storytelling.

I remember playing this game for the first time on the PS2 back in 2010 or 2011 and enjoying it big time! For some reason, I remember that I gave up somewhere during the career mode because in a certain way I had lost some of the initial interest in the game and I was playing some other games during the same period. But let me tell you that your let's play vid renewed some of that interest and I might play it again pretty soon, considering how much fun it was the first time. Great video again, MJR!

When I saw Elise in the thumbnail and then read the title I almost passed out! Got excited like a kid on christmas eve :) Brilliant stuff, not just because of what game you played but you are so much fun to listen to. Please make sure you do more Let's plays! Blur, Splashdown or Split/Second would be awesome ;) There was another SSX game after On Tour that came out exclusively on the Wii (SSX Blur), it uses motion controls and it took so much practice to pull off Uber tricks. I disagree with you about the latest game being a disappointment, I absolutely love it and have put in hundreds of hours.

Great video playthrough of the entire mountain! I actually started playing this again over the past 2 weeks, and I'm loving it. I've only played it very little back in 2006-ish a few years after it came out, but never really gotten into it. Lately, though, I can't put this game down! And, funnily enough, I'm probably one of few people who play it on Gamecube instead of PS2/Xbox.

You know this is a great video.. I like gameplay especially fun games like this.. I was a huge fan of Cool Boarders SSX Tony Hawk games. I used to skate when i was younger so this games hold a special spot in my heart. Also the soundtracks on some of these games were awesome.. good video Mj

Maybe play a few minutes of certain games on hard difficulty or hard levels of certain games where you want to rage quit. Or play your favourite games. Awesome, "Let's Play" video. This was one of my favorite original xbox games. Zoe was my absolute favorite character, because she was voiced by "Bif Naked".

Very good video, time really flew by, it was really enjoyable. Those were the times for best games, I remember playing the hell out of NBA Street vol. 3. At the moment I am waiting to try NFL Street games for PS2. Do you know if they are fun as their FIFA and NBA counterparts if you played those or if you have heard from friends?

Bought a replacement PS2 and found this still in the disk tray as a hidden bonus. Will have to try it out!

I'm surprised to hear you didn't like the re-boot that much. I absolutely loved it. It was one of my favorite games from the last generation. Played for months on end and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I even kept playing after getting the platinum, which is rare for me to do with modern games.

Damn I know I’m comin in late on this but damn this is nostalgic. The original SSX was the first game i ever played on PS2 as a kid and it blew my mind. And when I got this one the mountain progression was so fun. Great game

Superb video. Really enjoyable hearing you talk about the game. It's great when you enjoy a game so much that you know it back to front and can just switch off. I feel the same about the Tiger Woods series on the Gamecube. I can just go really low on the courses without even thinking about it. Pure fun. The game starts of like an RPG and it becomes an arcade game by the end. Awesome. The series went downhill on the 360/PS3 onwards in my view. More vids like this please.

Love the SSX series. SSX Tricky and SSX 3 were my favorites. Would love for them to release 1080p HD remasters of all those old SSX games on the new consoles.

I was just thinking about this game. SSX definitely was one of the series that broke my controller's shoulder buttons on my PS2. Worth it though.

I love how at the start of the vid, you said you're not the best SSX player, before you just completely destroyed the entire mountain.

This truly was an awesome game. Every element was honed to perfection. Poor Leno playing as the sun glints off the snow - amazing. Ultimately it was the game play itself that was just so fun and addictive. Shame they have not been able to make another game in the series that captured that and also make use of all the extra console power we have now.

I remember playing tricky and 3, at various friend's houses, and I remember liking them a lot, but when I played the reboot, I couldn't quite figure out why it didn't grab me. I think you described the problem, perfectly. I'm curious if you've played much of Skate, or its sequels. It's weird that, for me, it fills a very similar role as Tony Hawk games once did, since the gameplay is so different.

The music adds a lot to the game, because there's a DJ that commentates and gives interesting info.
