I am convinced that Jon exists in a plane of reality adjacent to our own where time passes differently. To him, these videos have all been released in a timely manner.

It's weird to think I was in middle school when this lp started and now I'm in my second semester of college and he's only now on episode 9. By the time this series finishes, I'll be a father with my kid watching the final episode of this let's play telling my kid, "Let me tell you a story."

Guys the prophecy came true I was just wrong by over eight months. Original comment: Okay, so for people wondering: Jon still streams on Twitch, as he has been for years. He's said that his main focus will be the Twitch channel moving forward, and that RU-vid won't be his main focus again. That being said, he still plans to return, and has planned to return for almost a year now. He's working on creating a substantial backlog of content before he comes back, so that he doesn't upload twice only to vanish again. He has several new LPs in the works, and does intend to complete Superman 64. His goal for the channel is to have a couple of uploads a week. Ideally, it'd fit into his stream schedule so that a video goes up every day he isn't streaming, but he's not sure if that'll be possible. He's currently aiming to make a return some time in July. He's working really hard to produce new content for RU-vid and get back into the swing of things. He wants to make sure his return is a good one, and that he makes quality content that'll be worth the wait. Which isn't too bad, all things considered. Episode 10 is slightly over double the average. If released today, the average wait time will go up to 7.3 months between episodes. Last week a friend mentioned Superman 64. For several days I had a nagging feeling in the back of my brain that I was forgetting something. Suddenly it dawned on me. I hadn't checked if Jon ever finished his LP. Surprise, surprise...2 new episodes. I hadn't thought about this in 4 years. Man, this LP is truly great, and I got to watch 2 new episodes in one day. Keep up the good work, Jon. Take all the time you need.

Even though this Let's Play takes a long time obviously cause of the information you give in the beginning & part of the editing, this is one of the best Let's Plays I've ever watched, despite the game being horrible. Great work so far, +ProtonJon!

Y'know, this is actually really impressive. Not to offend of course, when I say this, just satire, but I don't think I've >ever< seen a let's play last over a decade, and this one's getting there.

It's the year four billion, four hundred million six hundred and six thousand a.c., the sun is about to go supernova, all humans are evacuating the planet to the closest colony capable of handling life, with the help of robots and aliens humans manage to escape the planet before the reckoning starts, and just a few minutes before the planet vaporizes, the cyborg containing protojon's brain releases the last part of the superman 64 lets play, its the last video ever made on planet earth.

The planets have aligned again! o.o

In actuality, John is just trying to set the record for worlds longest let’s play. He’s going to drag out superman 64 till his death. He has timed it perfectly so that he will finish the game the second he gives his last breath. The N64 controller will fall to the ground, his heart will flatline, and he will die a happy man, knowing he has achieved the worlds longest let’s play.

Its 30 days until 2020. I wish that we could see this game be finished as I grew up watching this series. Please Jon, allow us to see this game complete.

While it does kinda suck that we have to wait so long for this, I'm glad I have this series. So much of my life has happened since protonjon began to play superman 64, and it nice to look back and see how far my life has come since I began watching. While I'm excited to see the end of this series come, a part of me is going to miss waiting months or years at a time to see the next chunk of this terrible game. Thank you Jon.

It’s crazy to think i started watching this LP when i was probably around 8. I am 16 now. This let’s play has been ongoing for half of my life. What.

ProtonJon, I've been watching your videos for an actual majority of my life. I first found out about you when you still uploaded Knytt Stories and SMW romhack videos, and I've stuck with you ever since. To put it in perspective, I started watching you around 5th grade and now, 9 years later, I'll be heading off to College in less than 2 months. Since the beginning, you've created exclusively quality content for people everywhere to enjoy. You, DeceasedCrab, Chuggaaconroy, and many others were the foundation of my internet life and the impact you all have made on me will stay for the rest of it. I can not thank you enough for everything you've done for us, your viewers, during your time as a content creator. Even though this series has been going on for 7 years, the quality of each episode never seems to go down. Whenever you finish this Let's Play, I believe it will go down as one of the best on the entire site. As of now, it stands as a demonstration of what Let's Plays as a medium can offer and as a goal for other Let's Plays to aspire towards in terms of quality. One minor thing you missed about Silicon Knights, they actually did the remake of Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes as well! After hearing more about how the company worked the only reason they were beloved was because both Nintendo and Konami were very hands on about their projects. If they were left to their own devices then their games were...not very good.

Holy fuck this series started when I was 10 and I turn 21 in 2 months. I'm actually playing through the game myself right now on console, I told myself when I was watching these as a kid that I'd only see the ending in a video of Jon's or by beating it myself on an N64. I'm very surprised to say after finishing normal difficulty mode (I forgot you can only play the last level on hard so I'm replaying it) that it's now one of my all-time favorite games. So maybe some good came out of the 10 years and counting that this series has taken. It's sure kept all of us hopeful for something this whole time, I think there's something transcendent about that

I see you haven't put anything up in a while, but I just gotta say, this style video is GENIUS! Keep making content like this, and you'll be at a million subs before you know it. I know it's goddamn difficult, but keep at it. Just gotta get that marketing right too, give it a cool name and intro(it's unfortunate that it works like this). The combo of review/retrospective for the first couple minutes and LP for the rest blows my mind. You can cut a normal "review video" into at LEAST 4 parts and play a game for 15/20 min afterwards. You have no idea how brilliant I think this is, you can turn this into the late bloomer of gaming channels and grow exponentially, I know it. (thank PBG for bringing me here, brand new sub)

You know, I've seen you play stages 1-7 back in 2012 or something like that. I knew the game was infamous, I knew who you were prior to watching it, but I have to say that this let's play in particular always and still stands out. This let's play has a unique format I haven't seen other people do and it isn't even that complicated in how it is done. All it is is just simple editing describing the game, related topics just for thought, and all around entertaining gameplay watching as you *ahem* gracefully move along in the game itself. This is what I call a memorable LP, and I'll happily stick around until the end (whenever it eventually shows up).

Its amazing how much the status of the world and all of our personal lives changed during this LP. Including Jon now being married :) I just wanna know what year this LP concludes so I can study it and all the important events that happened in the world and myself. Since the start of this LP I went from summer going into 6th grade and now I'm wrapping up my first year of college.
