You don't need to underestimate the 1 point to damage upgrade for machine guns. The thing to remember is that unlike the rifle which fires 5 bullets per clip, the machine gun fires 20 per clip so even though the damage per bullet is marginal it still ends up making a huge difference assuming your in range and most of the bullets hit.
Hey man - this is a super fun game. One small piece of advice for you going forward is that whenever you go to town, check the war cemetery first. The old man that gives you orders shows up randomly, and it's better to learn new orders that he teaches you sooner rather than later - if you spend all your money on other upgrades and then go to the cemetery and find out he has an order you can't afford, it'll be completely random chance as to when you will be able to learn it again. But don't worry too much: you really can't screw it up. Also: seconding what the other guy said about scouts. They are the best units overall and you'll get the most mileage out of them rather than shock troopers. Great units to use a lot for comedy: Jann, Cherry, Dallas, Hannes (LOL), Edy, Nina and Jane; and of course always use Alicia, Rosie, and Largo. And you can swap members in & out of your squad every time you go back to headquarters, so don't be afraid to do so; there's no penalty. Have fun!
In fact, to get A rank in most missions, you'll be relying on the speed of your scouts to slip past holes in the enemy's defenses and just run straight to their base. You don't have to kill every foe on the map, and for A rank sometimes it's not advised. Just clear the enemy base and send a soldier in to cap it.
That deal Varrot said about Scouts not being good for attacking...bullshit. Ignore it. Scouts start slow in early game because of their aim, but by mid and late-game, you can beat the whole game on Scouts. They have the best range while still having intercepting fire. Also, they get a nice little tool at mid-game. I won't spoil what the tool is, but it's amazing!
18:51 Nils' voice actor sounds like someone from the first Company of Heroes game. I mean that guy sounds exactly like the voice you hear in CoH when an alert is activated
O-m-g you are so lucky to have the queen of sniping marina on your team, heres a tip, if not changed to activate neytmaster u need to move up the ladder so if you start the turn on a tower, climb down then up untill it activates, here in case you care are my top 3 people to haveMarinaTom (scout)JaneThe people you can add to your squad change after every mission unless they changed thatSecret tip: each story battle from now on will have a secret enemy hiding in it might be in grass or in a allyway you dont need to take, they have a actual name with a title and are allways red and powerfull, find and kill them for a special reward ;)Sorry for the text wall
You might have already figured it out by now but in the equipment purchasing screen use the use the bumpers (L+R) to switch between equipment types without having to go back to the menu.
Oh my god. That is exactly what I said when he opened his mouth. lmfao. Right in the war teeth. Easy to find in the anatomy of WAR. AHahahhaha. These kids are so depressing. I know it's war but damn. I've said it before but the combat in this game is what makes it so interesting. I love games with traits for characters that effect them during combat. The story ain't really my cup of tea. But, it's still a good game. And all your lps are golden.
The only difference is between it and a rocket launcher is the shape though, and that fact that the bullet pierces armor before exploding. It's no really that weird.
am I the only one who doesn't really consider this an anime type game. Like IK it is. but I just don't look at it like I do anime. that being I don't like it.
