hi friends! today, we'll reorganize my bookshelves for 2024 to keep me sane, because my office was looking too crazy for my liking😭 (there are 800+ books to organize, so buckle in). in this video, i show you every book i own and my home library🤍 we have some fantasy, horror, thriller, magical realism, romance, literary fiction, graphic novels and contemporary novels in this video. enjoy!

when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. as a reader and booktuber, one of the most fun aspects of reading for me is building my book collection and having a space to display my books. that is why i bring you a 2024 bookshelf tour where i show you every single book i own physically (plus reorganizing my bookshelves for the new year). booktube has buzzed about some of these books… but did/will i enjoy them? i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with more books to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

I organize by my love for the book lol, my favorite books are at eyesight level while the lower levels are for less liked books

I totally agree that bookshelf organizing is such a therapeutic process! ❤️ It’s one of my fave things to do and I can spend hours on it. As for my organization style, it’s hard to explain but I definitely focus heavily on height and color coordination. Not always rainbow, but more like vibe (black/white, blue/red, pastel, warm tones, etc)🧍🏽‍♀️It doesn’t always make it easy to find a book, but I do know, for the most part, where everything is 😌 However, when I run out of space, it can be a free for all 😂

I just moved into my own place for the first time and organizing and setting up my bookshelves was the most fun but also most stressful part. This video was definitely the nudge in the right direction for when I want to change up the organization, loved it!

I’m a simple gal, all of my books are organized by author’s last name. Though! This year I switched it up a bit and have one bookshelf for all of my tbr books, and I’ve separated the middle grade/ya from the adult.

Beautiful shelves, Mel! I organize my shelves in a very similar same way. GENRE, then AGE (middle-grade/YA/adult), then HEIGHT (keeping authors and series together), and wouldn't have it any other way.🧍‍♀😊

Between now and last year I think when I did a small declutter/relocated some books from my collection, now I’m down to 147! I feel like in the last 6-8 months idk I really am choosy w the books I buy so now it’s going to be great in the future for my collection!

I finally got Billy bookcases in September and finally got my shelves organized in December. I just do it by genre and then author’s last name! I’d love to do by size but just feel like it’s not best for the long term
