Some tips for building. Build a stone mine and stone processor first and have that pumping out building mats for the rest of the stuff. ALSO keep a close eye on the walls that have very tight angles because the corners tend to be impassable by the ai when they are too pointy. Another thing you will want to do is either give your workers belt lanterns because working in darkness gives a debuff to work speed and farming is a skill so it also debuffs that which means less food as each plant harvested in a field has a chance to 'fail' and newb farmers will fail quite a lot even in the daylight but if you for whatever reason don't want them to have belt lanterns you can put spotlights on the walls pointing at the fields to give the same effect.

Nice! Love to see you doing a proper outpost! Comments with spoilers for the episode. 1) You don't need to have your outpost in the smack of the middle of that flat area except for aesthetic reasons, I think your outpost have a maximum range (which is pretty big though) and having your mines inside of the walls is pretty big. Also, lack of water means you need roughly 3x the amount of wells. 2) "Millennium Falcon" indeed. You could make an actual U-shape gate if you had just did as you did when you started to build the wall, i.e. starting to build from the other side of the gate :D 3) Yikes, bonedogs and berserkers aren't fun. Gotta love that toughness training :v 4) Well, welcome to settlement defence :P Couldn't come up with too many comments today, but really interesting episode nonetheless :)

Just picked the game up off of a friend's recomendation and your own playthrough here! Ended up spawning in The Hub and running off towards Squin. Ended up finding Ruka there and have her hanging around. Baited some Dust Bandits back towards Squin and had the Guardians help out/carry me. Still learning the game, but it's going well so far!

I went with the slave start and just got my mining operations up and running with the hub as my home base, made a few trecks to Squin to buy a few backpacks

Just fyi Heavy armor sucks until you get 40+ in strength because is slows all your attacks with debuffs to attack speed and movement speed and dex and some even give debuffs to your attack stat. just take a look at what a heavy armor does in a shop before spending resources and time building something that could potentially nerf your characters. once you get chain armor unlocked there are some good middle of the road things like iron helmets and armor merc leggings. there are some OK/not great heavy armor you could mix in that only slows your movement and defuffs your stealth which is not as bad as say unholy plate armor which is just so bad until late game when you have insane swords to go with your slow attack so that when you do hit it hurts a lot. anyways just some stuff to think about. Armor is always good even with low streanght as it will both elvel strenght if u are overburdened enought which is easier in heavy armor and will protect better, only heavy weapons should be used when u have enought strenght because with weapons hitting actually matters more than their other characteristics

rycon the best place for production outpost both farming and resources is fog islands.... on of the flat hills close to mongrel has literally evrything with both green and arid fertility at 70% adn even water is abundant Also beside situation where u have 70+ characters... two outpost are literally not worth it with the one exception being siege outpost in middle of enemy territory to have a base to raid out of. Also for the love of Okran or Narko whichever u prefer research walls and get some towers

Oh gods this is the hardest thing i have watched in a while. The pain of watching someone try to make a design, failing but then going back and having the perfect chance to correct it just to settle for something less is so incredibly frustrating. I know its upsetting me to unreasonable lvls but my ocd! Really enjoying the series tho so dont take this random comments years later the wrong way. But still Ugh!! you could have corrected the wall!

Heyyyyy you took my advice! It's a great spot really. Your going to need multiple wells if you want to scale up your farming operation. But man the mining industry will boom. Pro tip, the swamp is right down the road. Very easy to set up a little water harvesting site in the swamp and transport it back with garrus. I did that for awhile.

My base got taken over by an army of about 50 Ninjas while I was heading to town for more parts. They have half a wall on the edge of the border of... Same city your house is in.

Expanding too fast is a thing in Kenshi but also you'll save yourself A LOT of hassle with pathfinding and building placement if you plan a little bit bigger from the get go. I personally think you'd need a bit more space, even if you plan to expand the walls outward at a later date. In any case, building material production is key. Keep up the great work!

This was a fun episode with the establishing of the new base. All those poor guys though. They're having a rough time. Hard to believe I've already watched 22 of these! Very happy that I still have a long way to go before I'm caught up. I'm really enjoying this series.

that is hat I always do but not because I want to keep them from running away but because it gives you more time to shoot them because they have to break two doors before they can attack you and all that time they will be getting shot.

Yep. That's why Medieval castles always had and inner and an outer gate. In addition, the gate was rarely in a direct line with the doors to interior buildings.

You could make a wall system like Attack on Titan. You know, an inner wall, a middle wall, and a outer wall. You could do that instead of tearing down walls

Not the best place to build an outpost in imo. I usually build in the fog islands, they're just incredibly safe once you clear out the fogmen around your area, you literally don't get raided.

Being overweight heavily effects combat , gotta drop things on the floor not just leave them in inventory buddy, also talking to dust bandits before they talk for a while would allow you to get a dialogue option.

I just saw episode 22 and it made me feel really frustrated that your Outpost was attacked. What's the purpose of taking on Rain the Giant, if you can't have her station at the SANDPIT with her stats. She would have chewed them up and spit out as fertilizer. This would have been the time where she would have been the Most Useful being station there instead some kind of ore mining.
