"People accuse me of playing things up sometimes..." As they should! How dare you make something potentially not so entertaining or exciting to make an hour long episode not just the dragging grind that Kenshi can be a lot of times. Srsly though, I appreciate the suspenseful music, the sound of panic, played up or not, when things go sideways, makes this already enjoyable let's lay even more so!

Hobbs didn't use his crossbow during the raid because you put the bolts in his backpack and took it off of his back. And you didn't need to do that at all, combat speed doesn't affect crossbows.

You should come back with Park and get Hamut, he and Miu were supposed to be hired at the same time, they have a lot of dialogue with each other

Watching all the green numbers floating around is so satisfying. On the other hand, seeing a sea of red is quite traumatizing. Park and Garry have a blood bond now.

Oh no... Garry... GOD damn Park is a HERO ..dang i really like that Shek a lot. Sand did right to have him rescued when he escaped the Slavery. And Green? Dang.. thats really a badass shooter for a hand full of cats so to say hehehe ^^ You should Capture Stubbs and convince him to join you ^^

I love how lows first words where "I'm a worthless slave" and now she's the main provider of food for the village.

Miu has a ton of farming skill, she can be your main farmer in your outpost. You finally got Green the second best recruit in the game behind the god living in Mongrel right now. Get Green some Drifter leather jacket it will give him some nice bonuses on crossbows. A little tactical advise dont know if it still works though. You can place turrets right between the first and second gate in your outpost with a clear line of sight on the enemies, that way you can get more shots off and then retreat behind your inner gate. Loving the series by the way!

That girl Mia is really skilled on farming Like level 40 I think is perfectly suited for your two camps

Adrenaline was high at 36:30. The fact that you run this Iron Man and on top og that risked Parks life for Gary takes balls! I felt genuine Joy when i saw Park survive the blood spiders in the swamp

I think I know why Dogmeat was such a boss during that Band of Bones raid....it was that 20 in Turret skills. Totally boss. ;)

Maybe you should put a saddle on Dogmeat's back, because she's carrying this team.

Green and Miu are unique characters, that's why you could not customize them. Stubbs and hamut were unique too, shame that you pissed them off :'D

Bloody great episode. Green is the best archer in the game and his backstory is badass too, glad you picked him up. Id also suggest getting Hamut as well, he fits well with the groups theme, have Park have a chat with him, I believe you can talk to him again on another character. If youre looking to get fast Cats, hash is the way to do it, though the closest settlement to sell for sizeable profit is Flats Lagoon unless you get a mod to add illegal merchants to other cities like the HN or youre up for a trip to the UC. Anyway great episode Rycon, keep it up!

I always look forward to seeing these. Spoilers for the episode follows: 1) Nice intro! 2) You are entirely correct that bodies attract scavengers! Mostly it's stuff like say, Beak Things and such that eat corpses directly but I think even like hungry bandits are attracted to unconscious/dead animals with edible meat because they try and butcher them 3) With the fabric situation, you should try and get some hemp going. Uh, the Swamp might be a good place to look for that :v 4) Item furnaces just give you raw iron, it's easier to just get iron by mining or selling the weapons/armor. You might even let the items be, many items are not worth the time after a while like say, iron sticks of low grade :P 5) Lucky, that might have been a blood spider den! 6) Oh! They attacked the second gate too, nice. They still seem a bit confused. 7) Noooo! :((( Wow, at the edge of my seat here. I guess doing that messed with it's AI. It's too bad you can't really attack things in the water, but they can attack you... 8) Aye, Bonedogs are amazing. 9) Haha yes, Green is mean :D Unique recruits are almost always better than the generic ones :P But be careful, he's got a precision shooting of 1... You might want to start him off with a Toothpick, lest he start blowing off your peoples' limbs with carelessly aimed shots :v 10) Hahaha you should have taken the middle option. Stubs has got crazy eyes you see, so he's used to people thinking he's eyeballing them. If you heal him up and come back in like a week or something you can talk to him again :P 11) Miu is a good farmer at least, something you're looking for! 12) You get the opportunity to customize generic-type recruits when you recruit them. Unique recruits you have to bring to a plastic surgeon after recruiting them to be able to customize them. 13) Yeah, Hamut is very anti-slavery. I think you might be able to speak with him again, even before you leave. 14) Looking through the Band of Bones' remains to see if they got any standard quality Samurai leggings or heart protectors to sell would be a neat idea, and good to keep it off camera since that is just busy work :P Good episode, tense, exciting, loving all the voices etc. :D

You should throw your defeated enemies into your sally port, after stripping them naked, and then leaving a few guys on the turrets for target practice whenever somebody wakes up. That would also help you sort which guys you've looted already. Also, you need lights in the sally port.

You really need to give some better weapons/armors to some of your workers like Kiji. Even though they are not primarily meant to be fighters, you never know when you need them, like during a raid. Just give them some looted stuff, at least. You can see planned attacks on the map tab. They usually let you know 2-3 days in advance. I plan my expeditions based on that, so I can avoid having a scenario like yours, when you were under attack in two places at the same time.

Mad gaming respect for getting Gary and Park out of that situation alive honestly man that was huge that you pulled that off and got them out of there.

What an episode! Some people are suggesting hiring some mercenaries for dangerous travels. Sounds like a good invesment. If you can make a proper traging caravan full of goodies you will still make quite a profit while avoiding being eating. Untill you have enough strong fighters of your own, that is a good alternative.

Im late to the party but i love your kenshi series, a lot of satisfaction in seeing how you can craft one story that takes place in just one small area of the entire continent!

Definitely some high drama on this one. Anyone who plays this game knows how bad it sucks to see your guys getting eaten alive. I thought Park and Gary were done for. You should consider putting a couple turrets on the house for when the gates get breached, like having an inner keep. Great episode.

This was quite an entertaining episode for sure! First with the simultaneous battles-the raid on the Sand Pit, and Park playing Superman in the swam. I was sure Gary was a goner. It amazes me that you haven't lost anyone yet! And then with the recruiting segment, that was hilarious with all the different voices and you trying to keep them all straight. I feel like you're starting to reach your limit on the number of different voices you can retain memory for, lol. But it's an impressive number, for sure. Great episode, Rycon. Kept me on the edge of my seat for sure.

So happy you got Green. I also got him in my party, and his crossbow skill really wowed me. I'd already settled on who my "main" people were when I brought him on, but Green muscled in and joined their ranks anyway.

Lesson: never send only one person and a pack beast on an expedition. Lucky for him that one person was Park.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode, many emotions were felt! Even though you leaving my boy Park unattended made me anxious .. Also, if you ever feel the need for some watchtowers next to your mines, the ones in Shark that Park and Gary passend are available on the workshop.

that was so exciting i watched the scary parts twice. as for playing up the drama when garry went down...no i was really choked up too. you're roleplaying green as a silly. i'm liking the silliness. i love the new people and the direction this series is going.

Also not so sure if you know it already but if you click the up arrow on the left side there you can see your land speed in miles per hour as well as other stats. Athletics alone isn't an indication of speed usually.

You should use Recruit Prisoner Mod for those band of bones

You can get a pretty nice advantage in fighting if you equip your people with sandstorm protection (during a sandstorm).

For the love of god, move your gate to the left side of the current one - you know, the direction that all your traffic and activity comes from! :-) Rycon, your series is tremendous but your appaling min maxing rattles my OCD to the point of stress!

If you can, you absolutely NEED to make Miu an engineer/crafter/scientist of sorts. Also, give her long, blonde hair. Her attitude already perfectly matches a character of the same name that I've seen, and it'd be hilarious to see her be essentially a blatant reference to that character. It'll be great.

I just get so sad when I see the turret guys shoot their friendly troops.

I know its a bit late but you missed a 24000 cat bounty on the leader of that war party.

I have some questions about building in this game. What would happen if Rycon tore down a section of the older inner wall and the newer outer wall in the same area? Could he rebuild to link up to the newer outer wall and have a proper rampart his characters can path on? He could then rebuild the older inner wall section and maintain the "Sallyport area" and use the walls properly.

Hm. I don't recall if Stubs is anything special, but I believe Hamut is a freebie who has a fairly decent setup of starting stats. Miu is not very good at combat, but she comes with 60 in Farming and 30 in Cooking. Though like any character in Kenshi, she can be made an expert in combat if you wished. She's a bit of a whiner when the team is out and about, plenty of unique lines.
