@@secdeal Is that even possible? I've checked it and the startup is way shorter. 6H is already super tight, 6K HFB doesn't seem even possible in the first place
it is, though I wouldn't practice it until you're able to do 6H HFB every time. Keep in mind you only have to execute hammerfall after the hitstop portion of 6H has ended, not the first frame it lands on.
I don't think you'd have the untech available. Also, 2H HFB sj.APB really can only be done from very low heights on most characters. At the post 2S height you'd have to 2H FRC and even then the untech again is likely to stop you, not to mention pushback. Think about it like this. If I started this combo and already had 25 tension, I would do flick > 6H > hfb > 5K > 2H > hfb (delay the break slightly for this to be a little more consistent) > sj.apb > 2H > HK~HE. This combo in the video doesn't build 25 until very late so you're never really going to build the meter to 2H FRC AND APB without being able to just do a better combo in the first place.
if an input doesn't necessitate precision, the next best thing to do is execute it as many times as possible to have more chances at inputting it. this is actually a habit newer games encourage by expanding the special cancel and input buffer windows of moves and links. is it a good habit? no, but heat extend is a vacation from execution, and I like cranking my stick.
