Sadly, that is what happens. This is why painters keep some of this stuff to themselves. If you find a deal you keep it to yourself. Next time it's back in stock the price will be raised. Supply and demand will drive the price up. RU-vid is a double edged sword.
Also if looking for more to try, I wouldn't mind seeing the ghost green pearl over white and different shades of green and black! Thanks again for doing the videos and sharing your knowledge.
I as surprised but the ghost pearl over gray was my favorite”changing” color, almost like a color shift. I would do that for a cool effect. I would have liked to see the fender out of the bright sun to see if the black went really dark in the shade
Wow, that was exactly what I needed to know !!!! GREAT VIDEO ! Ghost pearls on silver does not work 😭 So now I'm going to be watching intensely to see what I can do to my silver vehicle, just want some pearl, not a new paint job ! HELP...
Hi Jorge, Love all the videos and content! Your explanations and the several tests you provide all of us RU-vidrs is awesome. I'm looking for guidance, on changing the color of my 2014 Cadillac SRX. This color isn't law enforcement friendly, and this car will be passed down to my son next year. The present color is Crystal Claret Tintcoat (505Q, 89, GBE, WA505Q). I want to keep the Crystal Claret Tintcoat as the base, and sanded down. What options would you recommend to make this a much darker red to deep wine, burgundy or a black cherry, but by placing pear pigments or other options you may have to offer. My goal, I would like to have the final result look like a dark pearl/metallic look but use the present color as the base. Thank you for your help and all you do!
So whats the steps when going to apply clear coat over Rust Oleum as Ive heard some people having wrinkling issues when trying to clear over? Really what does the time frame look like, base coat then wait for flash? Second layer of base wait for flash? Then at what time after the base coat has been laid do you come in with the clear to not have wrinkles
Good day. I'm a new subscriber and I like you test demos. Have you tried something like the silver pearl over a light or powder blue? I would be very interested in seeing that. Keep up the great job. Thanks.
Have you used blue mica with black base? I’m trying to get a black but a slight blue glimmer in the sun light. Not sure what the best process to do. I’m gonna do some testing but. I’m just not sure.
Love watching your videos and seeing the different effects your getting , really cool .. Does the Bensey clear come in a matte ? I have a 59 Ranchero with a primer paint job and would like to cover it in clear but don't want the shine.. Hey maybe you could try a red primer with a brown ghost tint to it .. or something really cool .. Thanks again...
I'm curious what color pearl or coloshift you think would look good over metallic silver? I was thinking an orange or some blue. Not sure if found one that looks great
Could you do one coat of clear with the pearl and finish with just clearcoat? I want to try the pearl but have some decals I have to clear over without pearl. Or, would you do a final intercoat with the ghost pearl then clear?
Man I found your channel and watched a few of you videos I like it on the slate grey but man that black pops I'm getting ready to paint a 64 ford soon and if it works like you showed that will be awesome if I don't like the colors I know one thing you showed me how to lay down some clear the work you are showing is slick nice work man
I’m new to paint, so the spray can gives a lot of orange peel affect, once you add the clear coat with the flakes you add. Does the orange peel go away with the clear coat?
Hey man, I've been enjoying your videos, could you help me figure out how to get red and purple in a color changing effect. Would love to paint a qaud for my nieces and their favorite colors are red and purple. I appreciate the help if you can.
So idk if u have answered this before but whats the difference between s ghost pearl and a regular pearl? That aluminum color i bet would work good for some candy coats too.
Cool experiment. As a former painter myself, you kind of have to watch how much pearl you use on white. Too much blue pearl will yellow the white, and other colors affect white differently.
The ink blue and black were my favorite from this test. I have a 1980 Chevy short bed that will be getting some paint, you are helping me decide what it's getting, thank you !
Thank you for helping out the people who want to experiment with a pearl colour on a budget. there isn’t any other RU-vid channel doing this. I’m planning on doing my old Toyota in 2k 040 white, cos it’s cheap, let it cure for a week and then sand back, pearl-clear coat, cure and gentle sand, then 2k clear.
Thanks GT, one of my favorite videos so far. My favorite is the ink blue and white. I will be using these colors and the ghost blue pearl for a two tone on a 1972 jeep pickup!
Great Video Thank you so much. Im definitely doing the white base on my vert mustang but now I cant decide between the black or grey base for the hatchback.
There are so many options, and I can't even decide on a color for mine! The ghost blue over grey gives it a nice transition effect, while over black, it turns it mostly blue. .. I have other blue pearls I want to try. Maybe it'll have a different effect over black
