You don’t have to get rid of what you love just because it’s discontinued. Make a point to use them every day. We may be moving into a world with limited releases due to economic reasons. You never know and you still have the right to enjoy what you have unless they are long expired.

Yes I agree! She could still use a Chanel blush in a discontinued shade for example, then tell us what's the closest match that's currently available. If I wanted to buy a Chanel blush, I'm still going to swatch & find a good shade for my skin tone, whatever shade was recommended & used by a Beauty RU-vidr. I'm not going to buy a shade just because it was nice on someone else but may not suit my skin.

Literally scared my entire household yelling, “NO, NOT THE OLD CHANEL BLUSHES!” Thankfully, after 16 years my wife is used to me, but I don’t think I’ll see two of our cats until November 2025. 😂 Brava, Michele. You’re the real MVP. And thanks for the info about yellow light; I have some significant damage in my legs from multiple blood clots that’s becoming debilitating, so I’ll try anything I can to help with that pain. Aw :( you should make a special box with your favourite stuff that’s discontinued so you can go straight there to use the things you love in your day to day life that’s been discontinued. You can always use them and search up dupes you could recommend that are still available?

You should do a video using some of your older/discontinuing makeup that you love so much you can’t declutter. Bc we aren’t out here buying all brand new products, some of us have those older products and need to be reminded of them. Lol. Also, a video using all makeup that is over a season old would be so interesting! Finally, a video with products that first impressed you from a brand. Just some ideas while seeing your beautiful collection 🤍🤍

Michele! Thanks for being proactive about your oral health. With the pandemic, a lot got out of routine but you bringing up your dentist appointment is so important. I hope others do the same and avoid problems. Dental issues are silent and can get very serious without a routine dental check up. I would encourage you to call around, I am sure you can find a dental office which can get you in sooner. If you were in Houston, I’d see you right away💖💖💖 at Joy Dental!🥰

I love declutter videos Michele. Not that I’m advocating folks go out and buy a ton to replace them. But because it’s your job the overload is real 😂. Definitely get on a regular schedule with your dentist. My mom neglected her oral care and ended up with bridges. They bothered her to no end and she lectured us kids mercilessly to not do what she did. I’m so glad I listened to her.

Please DO NOT get rid of the old Chanel blushes. Please. It seems absolutely silly to keep the newer ones that you don't even like as much. I'd much rather see you wear a product that has a better formula (even if I can't get it) than see you wear a blush that you don't like the formula for... Or wear it in your every day. I would much rather you get rid of the newer ones instead that you don't like. Why would you want to share them on your channel anyway?

The reason RU-vidrs do this is because they are paid commission from affiliate links. If they use products that are no longer sold, then they can't make $ off of it if that item is featured in videos. It's a bummer it has to be that way because I do agree that it's wasteful and we should just use things we like.

Oh wow i’m laughing at your dentist confession because I did the exact same thing! I hadn’t been since before 2020 and I went 2 months ago and had 5 new fillings (one was only cosmetic) and one old one re-done!!! So I had 4 dentist appointments in 2 weeks and now i’m good. phew 😂 ps my dentist also retired! I’m so sad because she was the best.

I am sooo sad that the Tom Ford and Chanel blushes have to go. I still love mine. I hope they find good homes. 😢 you are so strong! You made some very hard decisions and I would be exhausted too. I love these videos not so much for the decluttering but more to see beautiful makeup. Thanks for sharing. Oh if it’s not too late or too much work, would you do shade comparisons of the old vs new TF blushes? I don’t have any of the new ones and am interested in one that is not too close to the old ones I have.

Love a declutter. I use my Gucci bronzer as an eye shadow. Just love the packaging so much. Can’t get rid of it. I did a mini declutter of mascara and brow products today. Some get dry or I never reach for them. You inspire me ✅

Lots of great stuff! The idea of parting with loved items because they are no longer mainstream options hurts my heart for you - if you love it you love it. The item being no longer mainstream access would be the reason I justified keeping it. You’ve spoken so many times about the Chanel blush in Jersey….. I think of you time I see the new formula and ….. if I’m not mistaken, this was already awarded the CDH prize (cold dead hands) you can’t put it out to pasture now - we must fight back and protect our antique makeup goodies!! So satisfying to get something done like that. Dentist appts are the same here as you mentioned. Before pandemic I was able to get my 6 mo cleanings scheduled with no issue. Now there's 8 mos min. between. I believe it's because people stopped going during the pandemic and are now flooding in.

I need to declutter my collection, too. I have tried too many times. I have packed up items several times. I just haven’t quite made it to the post office. They end up back in my collection and reorganized., LOL. It is so much easier for me to donate clothes.

I’m not sure how you do it, sooooo much stuff would literally drive me crazy! Not to mention I would feel so guilty about having so much stuff. Yeah dentist appointments fill up fast so when I go there I always book my next six month appointment right away. Perhaps you could mention to them to contact you if they get any cancellations?
