If you break her in right and use good fuel these dynamite engines for being "entry level" are good engines! The whole dynamite "rebranded" SH and SH are good engines. Should be a good engine for you. The groove on the crank is a oil/fuel groove that helps trap for lubrication and sealing the crank.
Hey thanks for the info I just got a used tmaxx .15 that this motor is going on I am a fan of dynamite I also have a lstxxl with the 454 on it its basically a big red/lrp spec 3 and way awesome motor
oil groove on the crank is machined there for oil supply to the front bearing, the groove holds oil, and any extra will flow towards the bearing so that its always lubricated. on another note, a leaking front bearing (if this happens to anyone) isn't always a bad bearing. it is bad once you can see and feel play. on a second note, these dynamite bras/bronze insert in the backplate fail on many of the same engine which also takes out the front bearing and starter shaft. keep an eye on that.
@@Nitro_rc_life Hey no problemo, thanks to your comment on mine i can resume where i left off.. which was subscribing to your channel! have a great day man! ill be sure to check upon your vids (library) and stoked to check on newer ones.
Had one of these. good points: decent power and rpm range. Bad points: Traxxas original exhaust header does not fit. Rear bearing is too small and wears out quickly and I had to change it multiple times. Carburetor definitely would need a middle needle or long low speed needle. Always got too much fuel if used half throttle and only ON/OFF throttle worked. Stripped cooling head threads. Never done that in my life with any other engine. There must have been some manufacturing defect. You can't use the OS carburetor with this engine because the mounting is different size. Would I buy this again? Probable not. I would use trx3.3 with os carb instead.
So I'm starting to hate this motor as well changed out the bearings for ceramic and now this engine will not run without igniter on. Did all of the obvious changed glow plug several times brand new one each time re installed stock bearings. Checked for air leaks completely retuned carb. And still won't run properly all I did was swap bearings the motor ran fantastic until I did the swap now won't run at all
I got 1 coming in the mail tomorrow. Now sure if gonna throw in jato or tmaxx yet. Jato already got a ported 3.3 that fkin ripppss. So prolly going in my tmaxx as well. I have so many 3.3 motor laying around.
I believe the exhaust is different if you could figure out the header it would work but I have seen the g3.0 motor and in my opinion the 3.0 is better than the .19
Can I give you a reply with you getting butt-hurt. I said motor not moader and honestly only a rc guy would get upset about a "engine" being called a "motor" it don't matter what you call it man it is what it is
@@Nitro_rc_life more of an RC Guy than you'll ever know.when you make your own hand made Con Rod lmk. Talk to me in about 10yrs from now and by that time you'll have learned what I've already forgotten 😂😂😂 it is (an Engine) what it's Ñot a moader 😂😂😂
